Cute getaway
This is the second time we stayed at this location! Cute, comfortable, and affordable! The hot tub is clean and relaxing! Quick easy drive to Main Street! We are already planning our February trip and plan to stay at this very same place!

I liked the old antique furnishings and jacuzzi. I did not like that the front door automatically locked when you walked out and owner did not disclose this in advance.

Quaint and Quiet retreat
Upon arrival, we had a bit of trouble finding the house, not a single light was left on. Once we found the keys and got settled in, our stay was lovely. The house had everything we needed, located in a quiet, serene neighborhood, close and convenient to Main Street. The hot tub was a wonderful way to wrap up king days of walking and shopping!

Overall, the property was adorable. The only real complaint is the hot tub water was low. Be prepared to climb stairs to get to the hot tub. The view is great from up there though. Also, there’s a note inside telling you to be careful with the latches on the hot tub cover, but they were all broken so it didn’t really apply. They had a traditional coffee pot with coffee and creamer supplied which was nice. Plenty of dishes, towels, etc. No Wi-Fi. Would stay there again.

Hot Tub Didn’t Work
During our stay the hot tub quit working and the property manager didn’t respond to our several calls, messages and text via VRBO. VRBO also couldn’t reach the management company leaving my trip ruined with no hot tub which was the only reason I booked this stay. If the property Owner is reading this I’m sure your manager didn’t tell you that we tried several times to reach her with no response. Seeing as how you are unwilling to refund a portion of our money for the great inconvience. If this is your 1st time hearing about this please contact me to make this right. Your manager is very rude and wasting your money. The house itself was very clean and cute. We would have been very happy with our stay here if we could have gotten some help with the hot tub.

We as a property manager did speak with the owners multiple times. We were still nice and gave you a good rating. We did what the owners told us to do. There was extra water added to the hot tub therefore would make the water cool off. There have been no issues with the hot tub since your stay. The owners have checked it daily and the guests that have stayed have had no problems. We do have a case number for this situation.

Little Lice of Heaven at the Foot of Cross Mountain!!!
Absolutely amazing place! The look of a visit to your grandparents house! The sound of the floors creaking perfectly! The quiet of the location! The five minute drive to Main Street! This place was absolutely perfect for a birthday weekend for my wife in the town of Fredericksburg!!! And I have not even mentioned the hot tub and how fabulous it was to start our mornings and end our nights soaking! You will not be disappointed… book this place now!! Idea for a couple on a weekend getaway or a group of girls wanting to shop and drink wine! We made breakfast one morning; everything you need. Owner is amazing and I cannot wait to get back!

Great location. The old home reminded me so much of my grandmother's. I truly enjoyed the stay. The property is very quiet for those seeking to rest while also getting out and about to wine taste, etc.

Pleasant home - note no internet
Very pleasant home. As other reviews have noted, kind of like going to your grandmother's place. I somehow missed in the description that there was no internet available outside of cellular which was difficult for me (a working retreat). Outside of that it was very pleasant. Nice hot tub in the back yard. Quiet neighborhood, good to go on a walk or on adjacent Cross Mountain.

Cute cottage a few minutes from town
It’s a very cute cottage that will remind you of staying at your grandma’s house. It’s not walkable to town, but is just a few minutes away. The main bedroom mattress could use replacing and also having drawers available to unpack would have been helpful. Overall a nice, clean place to stay with a hot tub.

We love staying in Fredericksburg. This was by far the cutest house we have stayed at so far. Not far from Main st, very quiet neighborhood. House reminded me of my grandparents house, so it was super special. House has everything you need and the hot tub was icing on top!

Great Space Away From It All
Loved the property! Cozy with a great cottage feel. Comfortable rooms and back patio. Extra plus is the hot tub with views of deer grazing just across the fence. Close enough to everything Fredericksburg has to offer and far enough away to stay away from the crowds. Will definitely stay here again!

Great Location & Hot tub!
My friends and I came to stay here for a bachelorette party & had a great time! The place was clean & tidy upon arrival. The hot tub was super easy to use & worked well with no issues. They had plenty of towels and other amenities that came in handy when we arrived. The location was super close to town, making it easy for our wine tour & Ubers to pick us up.

Wonderful rock house. Beautiful and decorated for Christmas. Hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen had everything you could ever need. It is like your staying at grandma's. Had plenty of room for 4 people. Plenty of towels for all of us.

Like staying at your Grandma's house. Nice. Only suggestion would be to put top self mattresses on bed(s) with top notch linens and pillows. That would make this place 5 stars instead of 3.5.

Such an adorable property!
We LOVED this house! Stepping into this house was like stepping into your grandmothers house, but in the very best way. So cute, so quaint, just took you right back to the way things should be. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook and grill. The hot tub was a nice touch and the family enjoyed it and the views. The beds are a bit squeaky, but nice and plenty of room! We’d definitely go back.

Great, however don't book it for the "hot" tub
This was a great property for our family vacation, however, we chose this location over others because of the hot tub. The water was warm, never hot. I could take a hotter shower. The bubbles were weak as well. If it actually worked properly, I would have easily given 5 stars. I didn't reach out for property owner to fix it because it was the only night we designated to use it.

Enjoyed the location & the hot tub outdoors on the deck. This property interior needs an update!
We enjoy the privacy and the location of this home however it’s in need of it a clean out. The bathroom in the bedrooms are accommodating but the bedding, furnishings and in general the smell of the home did not feel clean and is in need of improvement. We would likely not will book here again.

This house is old and cute! We loved the hot tub as the nights got very cold. The house had everything we needed. Our only complaint is with the pillows and bed in the master. They were not comfortable for us at all. I know everyone’s bed and pillow preferences are different but these pillows were flat and hard and the bed was hard and VERY loud. You could not roll over without the other person knowing. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you for sharing the house with us.

The inside was very cute, quaint and comfortable but the outside had a lot to be desired. The grass, shrubs and trees are all overgrown and not maintained which might have led to the very high mosquito population. The reason we rented the house this time of year with gorgeous weather was to spend time on the front swing, back patio and in the hot tub and we were unable to do any of that so it was very disappointing. We bought yard guard, citronella candles and sprayed ourselves but it did not do any good. The kitchen is very sparsely equipped for cooking. Not one baking pan. This house would be a great find in a non mosquito season and if they would put just a few more things in the kitchen or you brought your own.

We love the pie guest house
The pie guest house was by far the cutest and nicest place, easy to town, yet privacy and quiet, when one just wanted to relax with a cup of coffee outside the patio in the morning, or evening in the hot tub. We loved it so much, we are already planning which weekend we can return, and my husband even asked if we could buy the cottage. After having gone through cancer, and brain surgery, this has been a first getaway in a long time, and we loved everything about this charming place.

The only 2 complaints I have is the coffee pot took around an hour to brew and it didn’t brew the whole pot. I think investing in a Keurig or just another coffee pot would be great. Also, in the online advertisement stated there would be coupons waiting for us. They were not here. I was disappointed with that. Other than those 2 things this place is GREAT! I would highly recommend it and we will stay here again.

Fantastic, charming house!!!
This home was wonderful. So much character. The check in/check out process was so easy. There was plenty of room and the house was so clean. I even thought I left a bag and the owners went above and beyond trying to locate it. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling in the area.

The house is really cute and retro, love that they've kept to the period of the home. So much fun, loved the hot tub. Convenient short drive to town, nice hike up to Cross Mountain.
