"We watched the total solar eclipse 10 feet from our doorstep. We shared it with dozens of people who had come to listen to the band and check out the wonderful antique store that is attached to this property. All of the furnishings and decorations in the Casita are those that have been repurposed from antiques and vintage materials just like those found in the store. This rental has, by far, the nicest decor of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed in. It’s like staying inside an artists’ creation."

"House was great, location so close to Main St, no shower--only a tub with a removal shower head. Found a few unwanted bugs inside. Site should say friendly "cats" on property, they were nice but definitely more than one lol. The picture shows multiple "houses" that are split to accommodate more guests, wish the map that was on the table was included in the listing. Other than those things, we enjoyed our weekend together here."

"1st time Fredericksburg travelers, heavenly host did a great job with the property we rented “enchanted hideaway” however if we come back we may look into the property next door as it seemed to have more amenities. The location was great and has several eateries/bars/grills within walking distance which was nice. Our only major concern or takeaway was about 5am the trash truck that comes and does the dumpster next door is pretty loud!! But, overall it was a fun experience and a nice getaway!"

"We did enjoy the house, location, and amenities. Bring your Kcups and enjoy coffee on the front porch. If you get caught in an evening rain, the gas fp offers a quick warm-up. All in all, very nice. Parking is on the street, but it’s a VERY wide street and quiet area. Only 1-1/2 blocks from the main downtown area. I knocked one star, because I think the toilet area of primary bath was missed in cleaning. A lot of long hair and dust in that area - not the case with the rest of the house....
