This was an extremely pleasant house to stay in with excellent balcony and light airy kitchen. The master bed was very comfortable but needs bedside lights!
Many thanks
Lovely property and very clean. Kitchen well equipped and nice little patio outside. Lounge small and small shower room downstairs which doesn't suit everyone. Stairs very steep. Beds comfy and warm. Unloading and loading is tricky - need to park on quite a busy road which is quite tight.
Would highly recommend staying here. Perfect location for the centre of Fowey. Very clean and everything you would hope to have in a cottage. Enjoyable few days away.
ThankYou so much for an absolutely perfect holiday ! Longsteps was such a lovely place to stay - very clean and well equipped . We all loved the decking area which got the sun all day ! Very comfortable beds and the location was ideal . We hope to come back soon .
Lots of pluses but the biggest disappointment is the parking is highlighted on the search but actually doesn’t have it all be it explained in description.
No real pull in as suggested so you hold all traffic up while you un load and re load the car.
Disposing of rubbish should not be a guest’s responsibility .
Kitchen and outside space great but main bedroom needs to be updated in our view.

Near town but not really as described in the listing. Quite a small property with very low ceilings (not great for anyone over 6ft) and generally a little claustrophobic. Also decking a big disappointment - dirty with seagull droppings all over and a bird nest on the rooftop next door. All in all decking was basically unusable. Cannot fault the location and generally comfortable but some pretty big flaws.
Lovely property in great location. Restaurants and trips on your doorstep. No parking at property.
We would definitely use this again. Nicely fitted out kitchen. No locks on bathroom or toilet doors. Great shower. Very steep internal stairs. Everything provided except towels. Parking at pay car park at top of hill. Beautiful village. Very nice overall.
There are a huge number of pluses about this property. It’s well decorated, ( the kitchen is especially well equipped) and the shower works well. The beds and linen were of a good standard too. The location is ideal and views are spectacular. But there is a meanness of spirit here. My partner missed the fact that there are NO towels ( we had to go off and buy some) and I have never stayed anywhere before with so few nice touches. There wasn’t any milk, tea, coffee (they ask you to take coffee pods), no games or guide books or even so much as a pencil. The living room felt cold and uninviting - the floor is tiled and would benefit from a warm rug at the very least. Dogs are £50/ week but there’s no dog bowl or dog treats of any kind. What a difference it would have made to have a pint of milk, small loaf and butter or just a few biscuits. Oh yes, there’s no shampoo or soap apart from hand wash. I know much of this is actually in the small print but we were astonished by the lack of nice touches. It felt impersonal and I felt we’d paid a reasonable sum for it. But it is nice in so many ways- such a pity to spoil the ship for a ha’poth of tar.
A gorgeous little cottage great for all our needs. Owner very helpful and answered questions quickly. Very close to centre and church but lovely and quiet. Very comfy beds too!
We stayed as a couple with a 3 yr old and had a fab stay. Everything was great, its really central for visiting the town and beach. It was really clean, full of everything we needed and just generally a lovely place to stay. Just a note, it states three bedrooms but you have to walk through the room with the day bed to access the twin room. It didn't bother us at all as we didnt need to sleep in it but worth noting. The property manager was really responsive and helpful even when contacting over the Christmas and New Year period. Would defo stay again
The property is cosy and well equipped and perfectly located. The owner was helpful and flexible when we had to change dates. It might be a bit tight if there was more than 2 of you but it was perfect for 2.
We enjoyed staying here.
A short walk from the town centre, so very convenient. Clean and tidy. Just a couple of minor things - perhaps could do with a rug in the living room to give it a bit more of a cosier feeling and one of the bedrooms you have to walk through to get to the twin - however not a problem as there weren’t enough of us to need the third room and probably mentioned in description but just didn’t pick it up. And an extra pair of keys would be good as we didn’t always go out at the same time. Overall we were pleased and enjoyed our stay..
Fantastic location, lovely part of the world. House in perfect location for access to the town. House itself was spotless and an ideal base for travelling around
Great rental, easily found and accessed. Very comfortable beds , nice linen. Beautiful kitchen, not that we used anything but the kettle, but seemed very well equipped.Fabulous shower. Very steep steps to bedrooms but soon got used to them . The outside area is very pretty and not overlooked . We didn’t get to use it as the weather was atrocious for our weeks stay . The house coudnt be in a better position to walk into the centre. Be prepared for lots of steep roads / steps.
We have stayed here 3 times now and have loved every stay. The cottage is everything you expect from a Cornish cottage with a lovely large kitchen and external decking area. The only down side is sadly we won't be staying again as we are moving to Lostwithiel shortly. Not such a downside... 😀
Great accommodation, superb kitchen/shower room. Lying in bed with a mug of tea watching the boats on the river and the sun rise up from the East was superb. Very quiet location, though minimal sound insulation for the adjoining property. Highly recommended and a stones throw from the bars and restaurants. We paid for a week long parking ticket (paid on line when we arrived) so that solved a lot of hassle.
Have stayed in both Littlesteps and Longsteps and cannot fault either of them. Excellent location for the town and we have just booked for next year. Mark is also a top host with great communication.
We had a great stay in this lovely cottage, which was fully equipped for a family of 5. Positioned in the centre of Fowey, was close enough to get everywhere within 5mins. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you
