Great unit

Furniture was excellent and king bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped with pots, pans, etc but was small to work in. Unit was very clean.

On the beach! Great view!

The unit was as depicted in the description and pictures. The view of the beach from the larger bedroom was spectacular, via either the window or the balcony door. Simiilarly, the beach view from the "living room" and balcony was also fantastic. The balcony was roomy and comfortable with two reclining lounge chairs plus a eating table with two chairs. There was a TV in every room with all cable channels. It was nice haviing two bathrooms -- HOWEVER, a big drawback for the bathroom off the main bedroom was the lack of a bathroom door! Our managment firm was excellent and responsive. The pool was in the parking lot, not a great view, but the water was clean and warm. The beach service with chairs and umbrella was accomondating. The building itself is showing its age and the exterior of the front door could certainly use a coat of paint. I would not hesitate to use Legacy again -- they are great.

Needs a facelift

The location was great. The condo itself needs a lot of “facial” repairs, ie. Gouges in the wall, rotten woodwork, needs painting-especially the woodwork. Kitchen was very well supplied with everything you need. Couch had two broken springs and beds felt like we were sleeping in a hole. Despite all that we still enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues but they were quickly handled by management/owners.

Emerald Towers West #4001

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good:Unbeatable viewPlenty of room for two. (It’s a two bedroom two bath unit so it can accommodate more but it would be cozy). We took advantage of the two bathrooms to spread out.Unit was clean.The pool is near the parking lot, not between the balcony and the beach as we have previously experienced. We appreciated the quiet and unimpeded view.The not so good:The front door is badly in need of a fresh coat of paint.No hair dryer.The kitchen is well equipped but there were no coffee filters. We bought some, and some sweetener, and gifted them to the next guests, paying it forward, so to speak.We rented chairs and an umbrella for five days at $40 per day. We discovered that chairs and umbrellas were included with the rent for some other units. We’ll seek out such an arrangement if we return to Emerald Towers West.We’re not too tech savvy, but we are generally capable of turning on a television. We couldn’t figure it out. It’s ironic since the unit had three televisions of varying sizes. Step by step instructions are needed.Restaurants are a short drive, but not walkable. Same for the Tom Thumb convenience store that you will surely frequent.

Our Favorite Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was amazing as always. This was our second year to stay here and looking forward to staying here many more times in the future. It's the highlight of our year. The updated bed and couch were a god send after our drive and were incredibly comfortable. The only issue we had was the freezer had been cleaned with something heavily perfumed and it ruined our left over wedding cake we saved. Everything else was amazing as always and we look forward to next year's trip.

Despite comments about mattresses in other reviews, we were comfortable and slept well. It was surprising that the bathroom in the master bedroom didn’t have a door, but that wasn’t a big problem. It would be nice to have an opaque shade on the windows in the second bedroom - the lights from the exterior hallway made it quite bright in that bedroom at night. Otherwise, everything was really good - we would definitely stay in this unit again if we came back to this area for a vacation.

Just as described

Reviewer Comments: Condo was just as described, needs some updating but was clean and had everything we needed including a beautiful view of the beach, gulf, sunrises and sunsets. My only disappointment was there is smoking allowed on the balconies and we had constant in and out of the terribly noisy patio doors above us (sounded like loud rumbling thunder) that woke us up every morning starting at 5:00 am and went on all day long the days we stayed in. We definitely will not stay in a building that allows smoking anymore that’s for sure.

What a relaxing Fall Break!

My only concern with the entire stay was the mattress conditions, all mattresses need to be thrown out and new ones to be purchased.

Great condo with ocean view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location and balcony and bedroom with ocean view. We could see the moon rise above the ocean from our bedroom and balcony each night. The condo itself could definitely use some updates, but that was said in the description so this was no surprise. The biggest issue was the old and stained carpet. The large tv's in the living room and bedrooms were nice, the broken chair on the balcony needs to be removed. There is only one elevator for the entire property and it malfunctioned for several hours one one day of our stay. Going up four flights of stairs in 100 degree heat was not ideal, and our beach neighbors said the elevator had also malfunctioned a day or two prior. Overall, the property and condo could do with some updates, but the area was clean and nice and we would definitely stay here again.
