Welcome to our newly renovated home, Grates Place, located within the highly sought after Destiny East. Destiny East is a gated beachside community, featuring impeccable amenities for your pleasure and creating vacation memories. Two pools, spa, fitness center, putting green, playground, tennis and basketball courts, IMAX theater. All community amenities are accessible with golf cart.
Wristbands are required to access community pools and amenities.
Easy .5 mi drive to public beach access at The Crab Trap which provides dedicated golf cart parking.

This renovated home comes equipped with all the perks including a 6 passenger golf cart (must be driven by a licensed driver at all times). Golf cart with Bluetooth speaker. The city of Destin permits golf cart use on any roads with 35mph or less. Crossing Hwy 98 is acceptable to reach Destin Commons and Silver Sands.

5 Samsung smart TVs with popular app accounts installed
Keurig coffee maker 12 cup pot or pod. Uses standard basket filters.

We had a wonderful time lots of room for our family, loved the heated pool, really needed more than we knew the golf cart. So close to everything. Wonderful hosts. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful place to visit!

Our family had an amazing time here, so nice to have all the amenities like a heated pool, golf cart as well as access to the playground, pickleball court etc. The house was well equipped with everything, and we would happily recommend to future guests! It was a short walk to the beach which was honestly the best beach we’ve ever seen!

Great place for family vacation!

This property is nice and in a great quiet neighborhood. Easy access to a lot of places and the beach and parking are easy to get to with the golf cart. Wonderful people and great property! Highly recommend!

Destin Family Vacay

What a great area! The heated pool was so nice as the temps were in the 60s. Gold art included was an awesome bonus. Beach entrance and nice restaurant less than 1/2 mile away! Shannon our host was just a text away. Home was accommodating. Had everything we needed.

Great Stay

Had a great time at this property. Liked it so much we tried to book another stay in February but they were booked. If you have toddler they have plenty of stuff to accommodate. We loved the private pool, and the golf cart is always a good time there. Thanks y’all!

Family spring break

This property was great. Large enough for everyone in our family to spread out. We loved playing board games and sitting watching movies at night. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. Having the golf cart available to go to the beaches, stores and around the complex was a real help. We loved our stay here.

Great communication and great clean house

This was all that it was said to be. Great communication with owner as well as home was clean and all that it was advertised. The golf cart made it very convenient as well as fun for the kiddos.

Great Family Home

Location was excellent and the home was perfect for our family as every one had space and privacy. The Six-Seater golf cart was awesome and made for easy parking at the beach and restaurants. The pool and pool area offered great sun plus shade for those looking for less sun. The kitchen was well equiped. The hosts were very attentive.

Family Vacation

Had a wonderful time, kids loved swimming in the heated pool and loved night time swims with the lights. The golf cart was an added bonus for going to the nearby beach and kids loved riding in it! Loads of room and multiple bathrooms a plus! Great gated neighborhood, felt so safe. Communication with owners via text and being able to check in early was so very nice for me to get ready for the family's arrival. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house and great location

The house is well maintained and the host,Shannon, is great at communicating on a timely basis for any issues or questions. Location to beach, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.is outstanding. The amenities in Destiny East were great- pool, gym, pickleball court. Lastly, the golf cart was a fun and useful addition making getting around very simple.

Best trip to Destin yet

The hosts were always available to communicate with and we were able to check in a little earlier since the property was ready early. Instructions were very helpful and the check-out process was minimal which was great compared to other places we’ve stayed at with a long extensive check out list. The heated pool was a major plus as well since we came in mid-November and having the bikes, golf cart, and gated community amenities was also a major plus. We would recommend staying here to anyone and we will book a stay here again!

Grates Place Review

Outside of the floors not being fully cleaned, the property itself was an A+. The property owners were great at communicating with us. The house was stocked with everything we could need and then some, including beach/pool toys and chairs, linens, towels, and fully stocked kitchen and appliances, bikes, golf cart, etc. It's a quick golf cart ride to the beach and house is close to nearby restaurants/grocery. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway house for travelers with toddlers

The owners responded to every question and inquiry that we had. We noticed that the pool skimmer was ripped while we were trying to clean out the pool from the storm that came through, and they had a new skimmer delivered that same day and had a pool cleaners come out finish cleaning. They helped get streaming services to work, and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. No matter how many time I texted them haha.The house was perfect for toddlers because there was no small “nic-nicks” for them to grab or break. This is a very minimalistic house with all the comforts of home you will need. It’s close to the beach and restaurants but in a quiet gated neighborhood. So, when you need to get away from the beach crowd the house is only a 5 minute golf cart ride away! I will book again when we return to Destin!We had a great time, and the house made it more comfortable for us! :)

Our stay was WONDERFUL! The gold cart made beach access close, quick and FUN to get to! The kids loved it! The house was amazing with everything we needed and then some. Easy access via the golf cart to church and plenty of restaurants. Shannon was quick to respond with any questions that we did have.
