Superb host and beautiful property. Set in the midst of a working farm it is a delight. Sadly had to cut trip short due to my daughter being unwell (nothing to do with the Farm just to be clear) but highly recommend Thorps Farm if you’re looking for a bit of RnR

The room was clean, comfortable and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. If, at any time in the future I am visiting Fordingbridge, I would definitely stay at 'Thorps Farm B&B'.

Frustrating and disappointing
Not as good as expected. No water running on my arrival. Overall nice good size room. Very old bath with no shower. Not able to flush toilet, brush teeth or have a bath until following morning. Left early in the morning.

I am disappointed you can only rate your stay 4/10. The issue with the cold water was responded to as soon as I was aware you had a problem, even though it was late in the evening. It certainly was not left until the following morning. I am glad you thought the room was nice overall but sorry you didn't like the cast iron bath. Unfortunately that room does not have a shower.I hope you at least enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast and you were able to get to work on time.

We had an enjoyable(but sadly short0stay with Janet at Thorps farm,we were late getting there due to the ferry crossing from Cherbourg,but we were accomodated with our arrival (after getting lost!)at 11.30pm despite the t's and c's saying 8pm check in(previously agreed late arrival with host) we had a large very clean and welcoming room waiting for us,with a big bathroom. very peaceful rural view from our bedroom window,downstairs in the large dining room we had a beautiful table laid out for breakfast with linen napkins we had a splendid full english breakfast Janet our host was very attentive,couldn't have asked for better,I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone

The owner was very friendly and there to meet us on arrival. Room was spotless as was the ensuite shower room. Breakfast was very good. The overall experience was great and would definitely stay again.

Highly recommended easily worth more than the 5 *
We stayed here whilst we friends. Upon arrival we were welcomed by janet, the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was superb. On the Saturday we were out for a unplanned visit to Wembley. With delays we did not return till early hours of the morning. Janet was very accommodating left the lights on and let us have a late breakfast. We would highly recommend staying here and we will most definitely return when we are visiting again. Absolutely loved the place, the people, the breakfast room as a convenient sitting room, and the beautiful, bounteous beakfast. It was a bit difficult to find, but we did not realize we were supposed to call for directions!

It was a peaceful, relaxing stay and Janet was very hospitable. Maybe a larger sign at the bottom of the drive would be helpful as the name of the farm is easy to miss.

Comfortable stay - would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Thorps Farm. Janet was very helpful suggesting places to eat that evening. Breakfast was excellent- enjoyed the grapefruit, cereal and full breakfast. Beds were comfortable and room temperature perfect. Good shower with lovely size fluffy towels. Quiet area and lovely view.

A working farm with a lovely herd of cows and calves.Very genuine happy hostess-nothing too much,huge good quality breakfasts,lots of local knowledge.Dining room full of character,beams,lovely arch door and huge open fire place.Lots of games and local maps for guests.Bedroom had plenty of drawer space,2 comfy chairs,tv,tasty biscuits,tea coffee,milk,a spotlessly clean bathroom.Very peaceful and able to watch the cows eating their top up of hay. Very relaxing break and would highly recommend and certainly stay again. We were made to feel very welcome.Thank you Janet.

Life on a farm
Just home from an excellent long weekend at Thorp Farm. Janet made us most welcome and attended to our every need. Her breakfasts were delicious, offering everything from fresh fruit, croissants, porridge and cereals to scrumptious cooked bacon, sausage and eggs etc. Staying on a working farm enhanced the trip and we would love to return one day, hopefully for a longer stay. Great couple of nights
We were more than impressed with everything from the fresh milk and jug of cold water daily and being gently reminded that we were on a farm with the gentle calling of the cattle asking for their breakfast.we guess it was "moosaĺee" they were asking for.

The owner of the B & B was very helpful, I had to phone her because I couldn't find the place and she explained perfectly. My room was very quiet so I got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was just perfect, and the owner (I wish I'd remembered her name) was very attentive but not overbearing, once I had everything I wanted she left me to eat in peace.

Looking forward to staying again. Room was spotless and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was cooked at a time of our choosing and there was a varied choice including cooked breakfast, toast, cereal, porridge and or fruit and yogurt. Janet our host was friendly and welcoming.

The first floor room and shower was perfect for us. The breakfast was excellent and especially the fresh fruit salad and the full English, the beef sausage was delicious. Set us up for the day. Janet was so lovely, would give you fresh milk in an insulated jug when you arrived back at the house. We would thoroughly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay, we hope to return.
