"This has been the most relaxing holiday we have ever had, we left feeling really nourished by it. All the staff are very welcoming and pleasant, we had all the help we wanted and it always came cheerfully with a smile. Fond Doux has a lovely laid back vibe, lush gardens full of birds, lovely to sit out in the evening listening to frogs and crickets calling. The resort is near to the two Pitons, volcanic hot springs & mud baths, botanical gardens & diamond waterfall, several beaches (a shuttle is provided to Sugar Beach). The Tet Paul Trail is a 30 minute walk up the road (up bring the operative word!) and there is also a ‘Piton View Trail’ within the grounds of Fond Doux which, although steep up and down, is well worth doing. There are two swimming pool areas on the property, both very nice. We didn’t use the sauna or gymn but did join Pilates and Aquarobics which were great. The food was great, the hotel restaurant has a Carribean night with live music - great on both the Saturdays we were there. Highly recommended resort if you prefer quiet, private locations in Nature rather than the larger bustling resorts on offer."

Mary cooked us a fabulous dinner but our absolute favorite part, was spending each morning with the caretaker Greg, who taught me about all the fruit on the island, we harvested together and he taught me about some of the trees on the property. He made us Calabash bowls and showed us how to harvest cocoa and even sent me away with a cocoa stick. I learned a lot from him and he helped us feel comfortable. Special guy. Weve told everyone "we had our very own Greg", he was the best part of our trip."

"We returned to the villa for a second stay and it was just as good as we remembered. We love the open-air house, the beautiful gardens and the spectacular location. Most of all we love our on-site hostess and the others who maintain the property. "

"The views of the Piton are phenomenal, it’ beautiful. The house is cute and has the essentials you would need like towels. However, the reviews listed on the property didn’t emphasize on a lot of what I experienced. 1st, no amount of bug spray will help,you will be bit. You are essentially sleeping outside. The bugs are LOUD, it’s as if they’re screaming in your ear. We used ear plugs on the last day of our stay and it helped. The beds are very uncomfortable. 2ndly, we are pretty certain we had an animal, maybe a possum? (We know it had a tail bc we saw it briefly) in one of the rooms next door that was constantly knocking or scratching throughout the night. It would move around the house so some nights weren’t as terrifying to sleep through as others. 3rd, we were never told in advance that someone would be stopping by for maintenance for the pool, which was fine, but then another person showed up for a cooler? So we had no idea who was coming in and out of the house, whether we were there or not. In addition, the key lock stopped locking on a Tuesday and they didn’t send someone out until Friday. 4th, the private chauffeur is extremely expensive, I would not recommend that service. For the hassle we experienced, you’re better off at a resort. "

"The rooms are super clean and neat! The views from the balcony is splendid, with the Pitons paramount view. Quiet night with shinning stars. The host are very friendly and offered us food etc. when in need."

"The house caretakers are wonderful people, the unit was spotless and clean. They addressed all our questions and concerns. Views are spectacular. Only few things keep in mind, unit is loft style even bathrooms, so do not expect any privacy in the bathroom or bedroom from other people in the house, also if anybody prefer early bedtime the lights are strong in every room and one room light lights all other rooms. Also, in the first floor it is another unit, so you might not be only ones in the house. Hot water pressure super low so expect colder showers, location of the rental is not accurate in the ad, if you want location look for treetop restaurant, the house few houses down, you definitely need at least 2 wheel drive car as house is not in town itself. Otherwise surroundings and nature is beautiful, shared pool is a plus."
