"This has been the most relaxing holiday we have ever had, we left feeling really nourished by it. All the staff are very welcoming and pleasant, we had all the help we wanted and it always came cheerfully with a smile. Fond Doux has a lovely laid back vibe, lush gardens full of birds, lovely to sit out in the evening listening to frogs and crickets calling. The resort is near to the two Pitons, volcanic hot springs & mud baths, botanical gardens & diamond waterfall, several beaches (a shuttle is provided to Sugar Beach). The Tet Paul Trail is a 30 minute walk up the road (up bring the operative word!) and there is also a ‘Piton View Trail’ within the grounds of Fond Doux which, although steep up and down, is well worth doing. There are two swimming pool areas on the property, both very nice. We didn’t use the sauna or gymn but did join Pilates and Aquarobics which were great. The food was great, the hotel restaurant has a Carribean night with live music - great on both the Saturdays we were there. Highly recommended resort if you prefer quiet, private locations in Nature rather than the larger bustling resorts on offer."

"House was lovely, view was top notch. Mary cooked us a fabulous dinner but our absolute favorite part, was spending each morning with the caretaker Greg, who taught me about all the fruit on the island, we harvested together and he taught me about some of the trees on the property. He made us Calabash bowls and showed us how to harvest cocoa and even sent me away with a cocoa stick. I learned a lot from him and he helped us feel comfortable. Special guy. Weve told everyone "we had our very own Greg", he was the best part of our trip."

"The views of the Piton are phenomenal, it’ beautiful. The house is cute and has the essentials you would need like towels. However, the reviews listed on the property didn’t emphasize on a lot of what I experienced. 1st, no amount of bug spray will help,you will be bit. You are essentially sleeping outside. The bugs are LOUD, it’s as if they’re screaming in your ear. We used ear plugs on the last day of our stay and it helped. The beds are very uncomfortable. 2ndly, we are pretty certain we had an animal, maybe a possum? (We know it had a tail bc we saw it briefly) in one of the rooms next door that was constantly knocking or scratching throughout the night. It would move around the house so some nights weren’t as terrifying to sleep through as others. 3rd, we were never told in advance that someone would be stopping by for maintenance for the pool, which was fine, but then another person showed up for a cooler? So we had no idea who was coming in and out of the house, whether we were there or not. In addition, the key lock stopped locking on a Tuesday and they didn’t send someone out until Friday. 4th, the private chauffeur is extremely expensive, I would not recommend that service. For the hassle we experienced, you’re better off at a resort. "

"The house is perfect for a family or a group. It is huge, and every bedroom has a quiet split AC unit. The views are breathtaking. The infinity pool is perfect—large and deep. The garden, truly a paradise, is expansive and beautiful, with no neighboring noise and excellent privacy. An orchid tree near the house attracts about 20 hummingbirds at any given time, and mango trees surround the property. The gardeners take care of the grounds daily; they are very kind and were careful not to use equipment while we were in the house.Our hosts, Merlesa and Garvin, were extremely helpful from the beginning to the end of our trip. They met us at the airport, provided a car for the entire stay, and were readily available for even the smallest requests.It felt safe and comfortable from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend the property."

"This was an amazing stay!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went for my birthday from June 9-14th. I had a wonderful time! The house is big and spacious and the infinity pool was so relaxing! No one was in the unit next to ours so we had the pool all to ourselves. As someone who is from the Caribbean I was used to the kind of roads there but if you are not familiar with roads in the Caribbean do research before driving! It may easier to have someone taxi you ! They do provide transportation down the path way that leads to Tet Rogue. We had lunch there a couple times and dinner a couple times. We did go into town via taxi to the mini markets and supermarkets. Vinel gave us his car to use so most of the time someone would you use the car to bring us where we needed. Gregory at Tet Rouge was the best! He made us feel warm and welcomed and part of the main reason we kept going to the restaurant. Definitely go out and explore diamond botanical garden etc visit the other side of the island as well Castries, Canaries etc it’s about a 2 hour drive but it is so worth it! Rodney beach, Pigeon Beach, Virgie Beach :) I am someone who loves to enrich myself in the culture of people wherever I go and staying in this villa in the countryside provides exactly that. It was about a 30 minute drive from the airport up a lot of mountain but the view was so amazing on the way up! I would absolutely stay here again and cannot wait to go back!!! This may be an annual thing for us to be honest!!! :)"
