Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Visegrád escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:

• First of all, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. • Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.

• Security personnel first need to make sure that you have a valid passport and travel documents before you can proceed any further. Keep them within easy reach.
• Time to strip down. Well kind of. Your jacket, belt, keys and other small items, like coins, will need to go through the X-ray machine. Make the whole process easier by removing them as your turn draws near.
