Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Venezuela could be simple and straightforward or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some handy travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
