Cheap Flights to Hard

Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Hard could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:

• Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.

Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:

• Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.

What to wear on a flight:

• The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.

It's all about being prepared. We've put together some tips and tricks for a fuss-free trip through security. Watch out Hard, here you come:

• First things first. Your passport and travel documents will need to be shown to security personnel. Have them easily accessible so you don't have to dig around for them.
• The X-ray machine is up next. Empty your pockets and remove anything metal that is likely to set off the alarm. This includes items like headphones or earphones, as well as your coat or jacket. They'll need to be placed on the conveyor belt for screening.
• All your electronic gadgets, including your tablet and phone, must also be scanned.
• Want to bring along your favourite hand and nail cream? Not a problem. As long as the volume is no greater than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) and it's stored in a clear zip-close bag, you can bring it with you in your carry-on bag.
• There's a good chance you'll be required to remove your shoes to be X-rayed, so wearing slip-on shoes is always a wise idea.
• Take all prohibited items out of your carry-on bag. If you have any sharp objects like a pocket knife or tools, pack them safely away in your checked suitcase. They won't be allowed on board.
