If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a pleasant start to your time in El Nihuil. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your footwear choice carefully too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes work well.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
