Imagine spending your vacation getaway in a secluded log cabin tucked away in a private forest of native mountain laurel and flowering rhododendrons. This charming log cabin is only a short drive to downtown West Jefferson and offers the convenience of nearby attractions and activities for your enjoyment. No matter what the season of the year – Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter – there’s plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy nature at her finest! Outdoor lovers will especially enjoy the proximity to Blue Ridge Parkway and New River. You might enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding and photography along hundreds of miles of well-marked trails. Or perhaps bring (or rent) a rod and reel to try your hand at catching some delicious fresh trout from a rippling mountain stream and cooking it for dinner. If you like being on and in the water, you can canoe, kayak, or float down the historic New River for a fun-filled two hours or an entire day. Bicyclists will find plenty of routes to take; one of the most popular is the nine-mile riverside route that also follows the old railroad tracks between Todd and Fleetwood just steps away from the cabin. If you’ve got more of a downtown inclination, be sure to check out the many fine and unique shops, boutiques, galleries, coffee shops and restaurants that bring central West Jefferson alive each and every day. Check out the weekly Farmers Market, monthly Art Stroll, and quarterly performances done by the local Ashe County Little Theatre. From Spring through the Fall seasons, weekends are filled with a variety of music, craft and BBQ food festivals. With three bedrooms and two full baths, the cabin can nicely accommodate six people. Cook your meals in a fully-equipped kitchen or on the charcoal grill, and enjoy the living area complete with wood burning fireplace. Modernists will appreciate the internet TV service, DVD player and movie library, and high-speed Internet. After all your adventures downtown and out in the wilds of the High Country, you’ll surely appreciate relaxing by the river or setting on the rocking chair covered front porch of the Laurel Ridge Log Cabin and its romantic old mountain charm. You’ll find everything you need just waiting for you to arrive and settle in.

We have stayed here for 6 years in a row and it never disappoints. Always so clean and the owners are wonderful. They always make it a home away from home for sure.
Excellent location - easy access to Boone, West Jefferson, and Blowing Rock. Right up the hill from the New River, but not super easy access. Very comfortable and overall great vacation spot!
We had a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. The hosts were great with communicating with us and made our stay very pleasant. The house was cozy and perfect for a nice family getaway. If you are looking for that kind of vacation this is the place for you
We were pleased with the cleanliness, essentials provided, and beautiful setting. With all the lush tree growth, the view of the New River was limited, but we did love the wooded privacy. Great location with lots of outdoor activities nearby as well as restaurants. Great
WiFi connection too.
Great property, very clean and the seller was extremely responsive. The cat was also very cool as well and that’s coming from dog people. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. The best place we ate at was Fizz Ed in Boone. Would stay here again. 10/10
The setting of the cabin surrounded by trees with leaves of every color was breath taking. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and so clean. It had a well equipped kitchen and we also enjoyed the outside grill and fabulous firepit. I would stay here again and again.
Everything was great; checking-in was smooth and the cabin was lovely and extremely clean and orderly. It's a completely stocked hideaway. Guest need only to bring food and clothes for a restful peaceful time...you are close to both Boone and West Jefferson for adventure and dining We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thank you!
Cabin was absolutely perfect and so cozy! Loved the fire pit and close proximity to Todd and the beautiful river. We also enjoyed time in West Jefferson, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. This was my 8th visit to this area, and one of my favorite cabins! Our hosts were extremely responsive and gracious!
Dale was a supreme host, always responded to my questions quickly. The home was cozy and lovely. I love an authentic log cabin. We had a nice nature inspired respite vacation. Loved the cabin in the woods in a private location. Loved the quietness, yet close to many attractions when we ventured out. Great location. Clean and host supplied all the essentials needed for the trip, even soap. Slept the best I have in years! Felt like home and the cabin and the woods warmed my soul like hot cocoa on a cold day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin. The owners are very communicative and the entire experience was fantastic. The fire pit is great for smores! Will definitely stay here again.
Log cabin was beautiful. Very clean and great location. Owners were exceptionally helpful and prompt to respond to any questions I had. This is a must stay you will not regret.
