"Very friendly and courteous staff! It was cold outside but the room was lovely and cozy warm. Nice dinner and my breakfast was included. It is right next to the ferry dock in Gudvangen. In the morning, after breakfast I walked over to the Viking Village and did a tour there… very interesting and worth doing. The bus stop was no more than a 10 minute walk from Fjordtel and I jumped on the bus to Bergen. Thank you for your hospitality Gudvangen Fjordtel!"

"Great room with a view over the village. Unfortunately being January and -3° we were unable to sit out and make the most of it. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, our evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast buffet was probably the best we have ever had. "

"The Heimly staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room had gorgeous views of the fjords. Breakfast was excellent, and the three-course vegetarian dinner that the chef prepared for us was the best meal we had on our trip to the Scandinavian countries. "

"Of our 2 weeks in Norway, this was our least favorite stay. The beds were tucked away upon arrival, so we had to set up and put bedding on beds. Made sense though, because when set up, there is no room to walk to use bathroom, kitchenette or balcony. The beds were not comfortable and the pool wasn’t working, so we didn’t enjoy our visit."
