"We really like staying here and appreciate the cleanliness however, I wish dogs were not allowed in the breakfast food area. That was a little too much having to step around the dogs while trying to reach the pans."

Americana Motor Hotel in Flagstaff near NAU/Downtown

"We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely give this place five stars. The price was very reasonable, especially considering everything that was included. The décor and atmosphere were probably my favorite parts. The property has a really fun retro feel and a lot of personality, while still being extremely clean and well maintained. Mara at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the cleaning crew was just as pleasant. Great customer service all around. There are also a lot of thoughtful extras: free breakfast and coffee, games and board games, complimentary bikes, a fireplace and pool, and even a choice of complimentary bottled water or a local beer for each guest. Those little touches really added to the experience. A few things could be improved. I would love to see a few more continental-style options added to the breakfast. The refrigerator in the room is extremely small. Also, the road entrance to the property could be easier to navigate, as there isn’t a dedicated left or right lane. As a professional photographer, I especially loved the property’s retro design. I took a few quick photos of the exterior during our stay, and the whole place immediately made me think how much fun it would be to come back someday and create a full 1970s-themed photoshoot here. I’m posting three of the quick images I captured during our stay. Photos © Hollywood Photo Studios, Phoenix, Arizona. All rights reserved."

"This is an awesome place to stay right downtown. There is a fantastic sushi restaurant downstairs and multiple bars, and you’re in the middle of downtown for all the fun. The room layout was odd (the sink was outside of the bathroom) but the furniture was comfortable and the staff was great. Definitely recommend!"
