"This has to have been one of our favorite bookings. It's close to just about anything you could want or need but feels like it's out in the middle of nowhere. The cabin was exceptionally well stocked & clean. Communication was exceptional. The photos do not do the waterfalls justice; it was a beautiful sitting area. We even had a rabbit visitor most mornings.The only minor reminder is to pay attention to the details of the rooms & beds on the listing, because the bathroom is downstairs & both bedrooms are upstairs - and the stairway is relatively steep. (I could see that being a potential issue for some folks.)This is a property we would gladly return to, and have already been discussing that possibility."

"The hotel was clean and parking was easy to find. We didn’t eat breakfast, but it did smell good. Pros: the staff was incredible. I thought I had booked a king room with a sofa bed. When we got there, there was only the king bed. That wasn’t ideal for us and our 13 year old son. The girl at the front desk brought us a roll away bed within 10 minutes. The indoor pool was nice. My son liked it because it didn’t have too much chlorine in it. Cons: the AC wasn’t great. It was set on 66 and never got very cool. The bed was comfortable but squeaky. The bedding was nice and soft but the pillows were awful- way too soft and flat. My final complaint was the toilet. It was very low to the ground. If you have no mobility issues, this will not be a big deal. If you have any knee issues especially, it’s problematic. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again, but I’d bring my own pillow next time."

"House was perfect. This is a great location to stay when visiting East TN. It puts you in close proximity to Gatlinburg and the Smokies but also Knoxville. In our case it was perfect for our stay to attend a wedding at Colley Hill Farm, just 9 minutes away. "

"Bed was good. Parking good. I was told there was a coffee pit in the room, there was not. No soap, except a shampoo/conditioner packet. I used to wash my hands. I got in late so it wasn’t worth the trouble to get what I wanted. I just left"

"Like almost all HIE hotels, everything was clean. It is an older property, but renovated; not quite as nice as other HIEs we’ve stayed at. The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, I was billed at a higher rate than arranged through Expedia. When checking out, the desk clerk said she would credit the difference to my card. That didn’t happen."
