"Perfect location excellent breakfast"

"The common areas were cleaned daily and in good condition but the room was terrible. House keeping is not done daily and they say they’re done every third day but they didn’t clean our room one time throughout the entire 6 night stay. They only took out our trash and gave new towels when specifically requested but didn’t. Hangs the sheets / clean the bathroom / even wipe counters down even though someone from housekeeping told me they specifically were going to do a full clean that day. We were traveling with our newborn and I didn’t feel clean the entire time we were there and we ended up just leaving a night early because it was so upsetting and we couldn’t take it anymore. It wasn’t utterly filthy but it just gave the vibes that they don’t really clean that well between guests either and that was not the experience we paid for. The staff was nice and location was great though. If the hotel were to change their room cleaning system it would be a wonderful place to stay and I think this aspect is really holding them back from being amazing."

"We were so pleasantly surprised each day at Surf and Sand. The staff went above and beyond each day. Housekeeping was too notch with towel designs and the front desk offered complimentary beach wagon each day. The views of sunrise from our room were spectacular. The coffee was really good and available 24 hours. Proximity to the beach couldn’t be beat. Overall this place far exceeded our expectations given the affordability. We will be back! "

"Although the facility appears fairly new, the shower water pressure was so poor. After reporting and maintenance repairing, the pressure was worse. Almost impossible to shower. We spent 2 nights and were told there is no daily housekeeping after our first day. "

"This is a totally charming hotel which is truly a bed and breakfast antique vibe. It is an old historic i nfull of rustic charm, a clean comfortable roo. With aur cinditioning in a prime downtown location. Being historic, it is "low tech" our bathroom facilities while functional wer unconventional. The claw foot tub doubling as a shower in the room. Overall if you are looking for modern amenities this is not for you but if you embrace a deep breath of fresh air, homey staff, a lovely breakfast with a beautiful courtyard and a cozy step back in time, it is absolutely delightful!!! We loved it!"

"Pet friendly in a quiet neighborhood "

"Fabulous location very close to Main Street - we like to walk and walked everywhere downtown; this location is not near the beach if that’s what you’re looking for; we wanted to be near the historic downtown and this is perfect. Our room was quite small; really just the bed, nightstands, and a small bathroom. It was small for two people. But they were booked up and so be sure to check the photos of your room when you reserve. However, the bed was very comfortable, basic amenities in the bathroom are provided. Susan is the caretaker and she was wonderful. She gave us lots of information on what to do in the area and of course she was the breakfast chef :) we enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the birds when we were tired from our walks and enjoying the early mornings on the porch with our coffee. It’s a lovely area. Very safe. Wonderful to walk and there are sidewalks everywhere. I would definitely stay again "
