We liked the setup of the rooms. They had a living area and small kitchen table. It gave us a lot more space than a typical hotel room. The breakfast was very good. Everything was decorated so nice for Christmas. The cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby were a nice touch!

On the negative side the room was a handicap one although we did not request it and when you took a shower water spilled out onto the floor because the shower curtain was too short. We were upgraded from a standard room to a suite because the room was not completely cleaned. The suite was clean and comfy. All the staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to eat and things to see. Great location for walking to restaurants and shopping. I would recommend Hampton Inn Amelia Island Historic Harbor Front to family and friends. We really enjoyed our stay.

First, the front desk person came across like we were asking for something ridiculous when we inquired about possible early check in…..She was far from what is expected of Hilton standards and was more like someone running a low budget Mom and Pop roadside motel. The lady that actually checked us in was very courteous and the room was nice but we paid extra for a fireplace as the weather had turned very cold. No one told us the fireplace weren’t working until I called down to front desk….there was no effort to compensate us or make amends in any way…….it was like, oh sorry, they just don’t work…. This was an important part of our honeymoon and I am very disappointed in Hilton Hotels over this…..Perhaps next time, I’ll book elsewhere……
