Townhouse Rooms

Truro

10/10 Excellent

This is the place to stay if you want the perfect b&b in Truro. June, the owner, was a very friendly lady and gave us all the information we needed about Truro. It is a 10 minute walk to the town centre. We had the 4 poster bed room which was very comfortable and spacious. We had the best sleep of our 5-week holiday here. There was a room at the front of the house where you not only had breakfast but could also have a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, as well as June’s wonderfully freshly...

John

A historic stone building with arched windows and a prominent central tower, surrounded by a well-maintained lawn.

The Alverton

Truro

10/10 Excellent

The Alverton is the perfect place to stay for exploring Cornwall and surrounds or for a peaceful get away. The hotel and grounds are lovely - our room was spacious with a sitting area in front of a large window overlooking to courtyard. The restaurant had a great ambience and food was delicious and well presented; relatively small range of choices but fresh and interesting; breakfast was plentiful and al a carte for hot food definitely an advantage. Availability of fresh Sandwiches in the bar...

Patricia

A garden with wooden structures and a paved path.

County Arms

Truro

10/10 Excellent

Well located close to bus stop for short trip into city centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had all we needed. There was plenty of room to bring in our suitcases rather than just an overnight bag. Staff were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Having a restaurant right there was so convenient at end of a long day. Parking was convenient and everything on one level. Breakfast was a good selection of the usual fare. Would recommend this property.

Hotel VARA

Truro

10/10 Excellent

We loved this hotel. While renovation of the entire property is ongoing, and we did turn down an upgrade to I suspect a newly renovated room, we found our Room #20 to be snug, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and provided sufficient variety with the option for cooked to order dishes. The breakfast space was lovely. We had dinner in on our second night and thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fire eating our delicious pizzas.

A coastal hotel with multiple buildings, a parking area, and a view of the sea.

The Falmouth Hotel

Gyllyngvase

10/10 Excellent

The traditional features - several lounge areas with space, comfortable seating and service, plus the modern approach to people needing to use laptops as well as have scrumptious cream teas made the Falmouth hotel excellent venue for the couple of days I stayed there. A longer stay would be comfortable, too. The bedroom was renovated with a delightful combination of charm, attention to power points, USB points etc., and wardrobe and drawer space. The location is good - close to the railway,...
