"Away from large cities, this is a gem to enjoy the Austrian countryside. Free parking and friendly staff. So nice to get away from Vienna. There’s a cave, just a short drive away that’s kind of a local secret. Food was very good as well with all the classics you expect from Gasthaus. Would definitely recommend this place."

"This place is great for those that have a car. If you do not have a car I do not recommend going here. I called five independent taxi companies and nobody was available. Only reason my son, our luggage, and I didn't walk the 6.5kms from the train station in 33 C heat was because a friendly local overheard us and offered to drive us. Return to train station also had a hard time finding an available taxi when booking a day in advance. Had to pay extra for one from another town to come drive us. Aside from that, we had a very nice stay. The evening receptionist was especially nice and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Restaurant was closed for lunch or dinner, but the newly renovated River House nearby was nice. The rooms are mostly updated (not fully renovated but for the most part) and very spacious for Europe. Highly recommend the Thermal baths Bad Loipersdorf less than 1km away. It is an amazing thermal bath and outdoor waterpark, but you need to book month in advance. They were booked a month out and I was only able to get an evening ticket when I found it and booked a few days in advance. I would come back - with a rental car."

"A wonderful hotel in the heart of old Graz, one block from the cathedral and two from the Landhaus. The massive 18th century building has been lovingly modernized but keeps its charm. I booked a suite and was very glad I did. It was clearly designed to be used as a private dining room for dinners in the fancy hotel restaurant as well as a guest room. The bedroom is large, with a comfortable king bed and the living room has a sofa bed, two armchairs and an elegant wooden dining table for 8 which makes a great desk. There are some fun and quirky art works. Each room has separate and very quiet heating/air conditioning. Soundproofing is amazing. Nearly no street, restaurant or room-to-room noise. Bathroom has a very satisfying shower and heated towel rack. Wifi is ok. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet is lavish. I made breakfast my main meal and just ate a snack late in the day. I'd definitely stay here again on another trip to Graz"
