Mountain Rose- Hot Tub, Pool Table, Firepit, Fireplace
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at this home, and it was exactly what we expected based on the listing. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. During our visit, the weather was extremely hot, so the upstairs had a little trouble staying cool. Given the unusually high temperatures outside, this was completely understandable and didn’t take away from our overall experience. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Nice location, close to the gorge and we loved going to Toad’s right down the street. We appreciated that it was pet friendly! Just a few small quirks to the property that we would have expected to be a bit better maintained for the price. Overall a nice weekend!"
"The place was overall good. It was clean and as pictured with their updated pictures. The bedding was nice and the hottub was nice too, even though there was lots of wording around that it was "only for the owner" so they could use it as a legal shield. It is clearly intended to be usable by guests since there were other "we will charge you more if you leave it dirty" items. That aside, pool table was a nice touch although hard with some angles due to the width of the room its in. A mouse did get in and chew into our bread a little. We found a notice saying mice can get in sometimes and they try to keep it contained. The wifi was weak enough it couldn't stay connected at all unless you were out on the balcony above outside the one bedroom. I am guessing the device is actually down by the hotel and just pointed in this house's general direction. For a couple nights, it was okay and we made due. Decent enough for everything we wanted it for. The driveway was pretty dang steep too."

"Since we had 4WD, the road was not a problem but I would not recommend 2WD, especially when the road is wet. The cabin is private and the kitchen was very cute. The hot tub was wonderful. The sofa was not very comfortable and there was no place to set a drink while you were sitting on it. The stairs to the bedroom are very dangerous and we had one close call on them. The cabin was clean with the exception of the tub. When we turned the jets on, we noticed a pink sludge coming out of the jets. Needless to say, we switched to showers for the rest of the stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
Quaint, heavily forested cabin, mountain valley view.

"We stayed May 30 -June 5, 2026This place is definitely quaint. Although we mainly just used it for sleeping, preparing some meals, & the occasional regroup. I did message the host prior to arriving, but after a week had not heard back so I contacted VRBO support, that made me feel a little uneasy... but all worked out.On cleanliness: when we walked in it smelled clean & fresh & looked clean. Some notices though: the windows were not clean. The outside areas of the cabin didn't look like it ever gets cleaned/even sprayed off. There were some cobwebs, & it some surfaces could use dusted. We did see when we moved the couches out a little that they must not get moved to be swept under. The kitchen supplies were OK. Not the greatest, but one would not expect top rate items for a rental cabin. It is not a super quiet place as you can hear the Mountain Parkway especially at night. There are 2 other places & 1 being built within sight and close, so it is not tucked away by itself. The road to get to it is rough & narrow, but we had a truck so no issues, but just for awareness. There are 38 steps to get to the door. Main floor: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Down 4 steps living room, up 13 steps main bedroom with shower & whirlpool tub. The beds were not comfortable, feels like the mattresses are very old & worn out."

"The cabin is in a great location. The only complaints I have was the hot tub water was dirty, and we had a huge spider in the bathroom. Given the location to nature that is to be expected lol. Also, if it rains the deck is very slippery near the steps. Other than that, I would stay here again for sure."
