"The house was perfect to spend a week with our daughter on her week off. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfy. We were able to walk around Machias, drive to Lubec and Bangor without feeling like we had to rush anywhere. The local beaches were rocky and excellent for walking and catching glimpses of seals. Definitely worth going back to."

Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need.The hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and easy to communicate with, which made the entire stay feel effortless. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and their property.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean, and comfortable place to stay in the Machias area!"

"The Captain's House in Machiasport was a beautiful getaway! It was very relaxing. With lots of windows toward the water side and no other buildings between us and the water, it was truly a magical place. There were few buildings at all in that area. The house, especially the kitchen, was well equiped. There were several sitting rooms with comfortable furniture. The patio was comfortable to sit on and had lovely views at all times of day. Thank you for a wonderful vacation."
