Harp Garden, Fakenham, Norfolk
A beautifully presented detached house tucked away in a peaceful location on the edge of the historic market town of Fakenham. Only a fifteen minute drive away from North Norfolk's glorious coastline, Harp Garden is a wonderful choice for holidaymakers looking to explore both inland and coastal gems in this beautiful area of the county.
A spacious double fronted house, Harp Garden has been beautifully furnished and styled throughout by a local designer who has created comfortable, calming and subtly luxurious interiors that are still very user friendly and offer easy living. On the ground floor, all the living areas are set around a central welcoming entrance hallway. A large, super-equipped quality breakfast kitchen runs from the front to the back of the house and has the benefit of natural light afforded by windows at either end, as well as a door to the garden. An adjoining utility room has laundry and washing facilities; an ideal spot for drying off a wet dog after a visit to the coast or a walk along the town's picturesque river Wensum. For more formal mealtimes and celebrations, you have the choice of a stand alone dining room, just crying out for the table to be laid and candles lit. And last, but certainly not least, a lovely light and bright double aspect sitting room sits at the other end of the house and opens into a conservatory, where there's additional seating and a lovely view of the rear garden. Upstairs on the first floor are four inviting bedrooms, (two king-size and two twin) all with their own televisions, and each bed with a sumptuous mattress bound to guarantee a good night's sleep. There are two smart bathrooms on this level too, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor too.
Harp Garden sits in a small close made up of just four properties, all with the benefit of large gardens, enabling a feeling of space and total privacy. The garden at the back of the house is a great place to relax, share a bottle of local wine, and catch up on the day's events. Within easy walking distance of the town centre, where there are all the day-to-day amenities, and more, ensuring you will be able to get anything you need while you are on holiday or indeed may have forgotten. There's a choice of places to eat and drink, a retro cinema showing the latest films, shops galore, pretty river walks to explore and a renowned weekly market selling local produce, so you don't need to venture too far. Fakenham is known as the gateway to the North Norfolk coastline, and a great base from which to explore further afield and you might just be tempted!

This is a great property for a family holiday; a lovely house with 4 good-sized bedrooms, lots of living space and a big, beautiful, fully enclosed garden. We all really loved it.
There were a couple of maintenance issues on arrival (a broken toilet seat, some mess on the floor and the outdoor bins were completely full) but the owner was able to help us and fix the issues quickly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property; I would just suggest a more thorough inspection before guests arrive.
