"This was our third visit to the Boathouse in the past 18 months. We have been to the Black Isle for the last 17 years so know it well. The Boathouse is a well situated property for our needs as the kitchen looks out to to Moray Firth with long beach walks just outside the door. It is always clean and tidy and well provisioned. The host, Carol, is very friendly and helpful. She is always available via the website etc."

It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and has incredibly comfortable beds. It is also in a very convenient location. The pretty enclosed garden is a real bonus!"

"The pictures don’t do The Shore justice. It’s stunning and extremely well equipped. Even down to ensuring there is milk in the fridge for your arrival. We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Can’t recommend it enough. The views and sun rises were picturesque from the cottage. Loved seeing the wildlife and the resident harbour Herron.Fortrose is a quaint place and there is lovely Chinese in Avoch.The Allangrange in Munlochy is a great place to go for some nice home cooked food.If you love castles - then Dunrobin is beautiful but not open again until next year. (2025)We’ll definitely return."
