Everything was impeccable, and the kids loved roaming the spacious background and "naming" the chickens. (Even though the chickens already have names.) Thanks!
Exactly what we needed for an end-of-year get away
Our family of 5 had a great time at the Farmhouse. Exactly as advertised with everything you need. Super-responsive host. Was a great place for us to unwind, play games, and sit by the fire. Would love to come back again.
Everything about this property and our visit was spot-on amazing! Location is perfect for visits to surrounding attractions. The home is beautiful and full of charm. The chickens and the fresh eggs were an added bonus! Highly recommend this property. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you so much! We will be back!
What a wonderful property that was totally rehabilitated!! Far enough from town to get the peace of the mountains but close enough to make it easy to go and do all the fun Asheville adventures. The house and property were immaculate clean and so much care has been taken to stock the house with everthing you need for your stay. The curated furtniture inside and out have plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy nature with beautiful views from the main living area. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
It was a great quick weekend trip to Asheville. The house was laid out exactly as described with plenty of outdoor spaces that are fun for everyone including fire pits all around and lots of good space for the kids to have fun and run. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything that we needed to cook all of our meals. There were indoor games for the kids, a cozy indoor fireplace, and comfortable beds. The hammock was a great place to relax and we played cornhole by the fire for hours. Definitely recommend this home if you’re looking for a nice house with great outdoor space near Asheville.
This home was AMAZING! My husband and I traveled from outside Philadelphia area with our 3 teens- 13, 15 and 16. The location and property were gorgeous and gave us all some peace and natural beauty! The owners were wonderful, accommodating and very responsive!
We are had easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest as well as to breweries and Downtown Asheville! We loved our adventures each day, but we all looked forward to returning home to rest and recharge. The kitchen is exquisite with everything you need to prepare and serve meals! The chickens were a really cool part of this experience too! We look forward to returning soon!!!
Thank you ☺️
The property is just as pictured. My family of 8, (2 adults and 6 kids 14 to 1 years old) had a fantastic time. The chickens are so friendly and fun to watch roam the property. The bonus for us was that the pond was full of salamanders, it was amazing to watch them swim around and all the tadpoles. We spent multiple days on the property just enjoying being in nature. The only 2 things I would make note of is the Master bedroom doesn't get as warm as the rest of the house and you need to bring your own baby supplies such as a high chair and pack and play for baby to sleep in. I would definitely recommend this property!
My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Fairview Farmhouse. Communication prior and during our staying exceeded expectations, the farmhouse was incredibly inviting, cozy and impeccably clean! The property has been well maintained from the different sitting areas, dining options and ‘activities’ on the farm! We loved the treasure of finding a farm fresh egg in the coop (this is not a possibility in Houston proper), explore the cold creek and searching for feathers, special leaves and hearing the trickle of the water fall. The house is centrally located to access Asheville, Black Mountain or other nearby day trips (we went to Linville Caverns, Lake Lure Beach, the Biltmore, and Sliding Rock/Pisgah National Forest). I was able to rent infant/baby gear via a local company, who delivered the items to the house, which I highly recommend, too, if needed. The kitchen is stocked with a large grocery store 10 minutes away. We were looking for rest, relaxation, adventure, and great food… the Fairview Farmhouse met and exceeded our expectations, and we will be back in the future!
We really enjoyed out stay at the Fairview Farmhouse. Very clean, great beds and linens. Efficient space heaters for each bedroom that we definitely used. Only one shower but that was clearly noted and we totally managed with 5 of us. Never did try the great clawfoot tub. One of the best outfitted kitchens I have encountered in a VRBO if you intend to do some serious cooking. The grounds are really great-lots of room to run and roam so I can see why families with young kids would love. Chickens never laid any eggs while we were there but we enjoyed visiting them. It was gorgeous in NC while we were there-70's during the day but down to 20's at night. We used the fireplace every night but didn't take advantage of the outdoor fire pits because by the time we returned it was plenty dark and cold. A few things that we weren't prepared for--it's not a quick trip into Asheville. I would plan for at least 30 minutes minimum into town--and that was just fine with us--it's a fun drive. It's VERY dark and we arrived late so it was a little disorienting to try to figure out exactly where the house was--we laughed about that once we were acclimated but it would be helpful if there was more lighting for a late arrival. We spent 2 days on the Blue Ridge Parkway and in the Smoky Mountains--very easy access. Because we had pretty diverse activities I felt like we were well positioned for the area.
We loved staying at this home! We loved the outdoor spaces for making fires/s’mores and all of the land for the kids to run and play. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed.
