"Sadly, this property doesn’t offer a breakfast. Also the pub’s restaurant doesn’t offer roast dinners during the week, only weekends. The restaurant just outside the pub has a brilliant full English breakfast menu and great coffee. It called The Old Grain Store and I would really recommend eating in this lovely restaurant."

"There was a good selection at the Breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I particularly recommend the Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The room was clean. The hand shower performed badly, I found it a faff to get the temperature right and the water pressure was very poor. With no shower curtain the floor became very wet. The creaking floorboards wer atmospheric but not conducive to a good sleep especially when neighbours next door and above got up several times during the night to visit the bathroom. A rather sullen young man was asked to show me to my room but he didn’t immediately take my luggage until I asked for assistance. This is a very old building with steep narrow stairs. There was some initial confusion at the bar when I ordered an Aperol with soda, no Prosecco. The rest of the staff on reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful."
