"The water park is the main attraction attracting families with kids... But the rooms are designed for just sleeping.. I stayed there a family of two adults and three kids. For two nights.. I took store bought container food and paper plates.. But there was no where to sit. We sat on the beds.. Food got everywhere. On the floor, beds.. Everywhere.. And there is nowhere to hang wet towels, swimsuits, bags.. and only one tiny trash can.. But they will give you trash bags if you want them. And only tiny cups.. The kids had a blast but the swimming area is very hot and muggy.. The kids liked it but no I won't be returning"

"I really enjoyed my stay. I was in for a baseball game and the walk to Kauffman only took about 16 minutes. The property appears well maintained. Although towels are a bit on the small side. As I was only one person, it was not an issue. I would definitely recommend Hotel Lotus, especially for a ball game, It is a bit far too commute to downtown Kansas City. Also, the AC was excellent!!! I love a cold room!!!"

"The Lodge itself feels as if it should be in a mountain. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. They have a beautiful lake right outside the patio area, with a great walking path. It has its own bar and many close restaurants to choose from. breakfast was included andvery good! There were two large school buses of high school football players, and they still kept everything moving quickly and efficiently in the restaurant area, I would strongly recommend."
