"I booked 2 rooms about 10 days in advance, I’m a Marriott Gold member. When we checked in for a 2 day stay I was given 2 accessible rooms with very low beds. After enquiring I was told that’s all they have available. This was not the service I expected. "

"Although the unit was clean, there were some problems from our perspective. The listing said it included a hot tub, but the host immediately responded that they could not adjust the advertisement to correct it to say bathtub. On our first day, we parked on the wrong side of the driveway because there were no check-in instructions to say we should park on the right side. We guessed wrong and parked in front of the garbage/recycling bins in front of the garage doors. Although we offered to move our vehicle late in the evening, we agreed to park on the other side the next day. On our second day of our six day stay, we asked if there were any drain stoppers for the kitchen sink so we could handwash the only two mugs and two glassess provided and if not, could we be provided with more than one dishwasher tablet. Although we followed up and even tried to call the host, we received no reply. This lack of communication is the first time we've encountered a non responsive host. Finally, a few improvements are suggested such as vinyl flooring that is separating in the bathroom and soap and shampoo that is hand labeled but not identifable. From our perspective, these issues gave us an uncomfortable stay. Unfortunately, this is not a place we would return to even though the price level is very good."

"My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year old for a month and a half due to our house flooding. There are a few pros and cons.The pros: The basement suite is modern and nice, the 2 bedrooms are large and there is plenty of closet space which was great. The bathroom has lots of counter space and room. If your staying here for a few nights with a couple people its fine. The host was great and always got back to us right away. The cons: the biggest con is how loud the people upstairs are at all hours of the day and night. They are up banging around until midnight and At 3 or 4 in the morning on a consistent basis it sounds like they are moving all their furniture around in their house. We are not the first people to complain about this in the reviews. They play loud music and it sounds like they have at least 4 kids running around screaming all the time. It doesn't seem like they care at all about disturbing anyone staying here. We had to ask more than once for them to move their vehicle off our side of the driveway for parking. Another con is that you have to constantly adjust the heat thermometer. It goes into "eco mode" every couple hours and defaults the temperature to 20. We stayed in the winter so we were constantly having to turn up the heat. The main kitchen garbage can is small, one you would find in a bathroom. The walls were dirty in some places and some of the cupboards were dirty on the inside as well. "

"There were no pillows on the couches, there were rips in the furniture, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty cabinets and walls, sticky countertops, etc. There were not enough towels for our family to use, no hand towels at all, only one face cloth left in place of a hand towel, no dish cloths to wash the dirty dishes that were left. The issues continued to pile up including an empty oil container in the cabinet, a full pot of used oil in the oven, a broken stool at the countertop that was placed to appear not broken until my child sat on it an tipped out of the stool immediately, no remote for TV access although it was advertised as a "Family Friendly Netflix" suite, not fully cleaned dishes in the cupboard, and so on. Despite all of this, we were willing to overlook and continue our stay until we found marijuana on the floor in the room where my child was sleeping.I reached out the owner about the missing remote for the TV since they asked not to use the tv buttons. 12 hours later the owner stated it had been stolen and a new one would be delivered in a day or 2 (we were scheduled to check out by then).After finding marijuana where my autistic, orally-fixated child had been playing prior, I immediately went to VRBOCare as the safety of my family was now a concern. VRBOCare asked me to send pictures then told me to resolve the issue with the owner. The owner asked to come see the unit but did not come. VRBOCare has not yet provided a resolution."
