Delightful Cottage in Central Eugene

A delightful tiny cottage in Central Eugene (Home of the Oregon Ducks), is located between the Pacific Ocean and Cascade Mountains in the lovely Willamette Valley. Features include serene colors and textures, tall ceilings, and antiques. All furniture and linens are top quality and new for your comfort. Reading a book in the cozy window seat is a perfect way to unwind after a full day of activities.
I have two goldens: one a two yr old puppy (rescue puppy from a rescue litter) and an 11 yr old. Both will bark when they see guests. I have been and am still working with a dog trainer to identify and remediate the issues. Much improvement has been made!
Ample storage is provided for your belongings. A deep closet with shelves can accommodate most personal items. In addition, space above the 9 foot row of cabinets can store extras. Larger items can be placed in the garage as stated on the checklist. Finally, light fills the cottage through extensive quality lighting, skylight, bay window, and two other large windows. Built with a good sized kitchen, the studio comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 1 child. The w/d and closet space are bump outs into the garage. The overall sq. footage is about 450 sq feet. A ductless heat pump was installed June 2019 for ac and heat.

Your home away from home is off a safe, quiet dead end street, surrounded by lovely gardens. Bungalows, Cottages, Tudors, Atomic Age Ranches, and Craftsmen homes were built in the neighborhood, creating an interesting flat walking tour through one of Eugene's older neighborhoods. Plenty of patio seating is available to take advantage of our perfect Oregon summer and fall. Next to the Amazon bike trail, easy access to Eugene is available. In addition, the rapid bus system is just a few blocks from the cottage. An easy walk will get you to major venues in Eugene: the U of O, Hult Center/Cuthbert Amphitheater/The Shedd, library, Saturday Market, fine dining, and many recreational opportunities. Also, several parks are sited close to the cottage.

Great little cottage

This was a wonderful little cottage. Very comfortable and easy to access different places in Eugene. The host went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and provided thoughtful extras like fruit and granola.

A Magical Cottage

Delightful studio

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. If it’s available whenever I return to Eugene I will definitely book it. Carole is a very friendly and helpful host. The room has everything I need, including a washer and dryer. There’s a beautiful view of her lovely garden. I feel very comfortable and safe staying here. I highly recommend this perfect place for one or two people.

Perfect cottage!

We got to stay in this adorable cottage for two nights while visiting family in Eugene. My nephew is a police officer and he was very pleased with the safe location of Carole's cottage. You can tell that Carole put a lot of thought into every need/want of a traveler. I loved the books!! It was a delight!

Cozy Eugene Studio

This studio was a perfect retreat for me during a busy working weekend. Amenities were all just what I needed. Loved the breakfast items that were thoughtfully provided. Flowerbeds around the property are stunning! Quiet, safe neighborhood close to downtown. Will be staying here again.

The Perfect Eugene Experience

We arrived later than expected, but our host greeted us and showed us around. Very hospitable and had great recommendations and local knowledge. We stayed 3 nights and we felt she went above and beyond. We would definitely stay there again. The backyard apartment was clean, had laundry, and we appreciated the espresso machine.

Maybe my favorite VRBO, ever?

Seriously, this place is a must-stay if you have 2 or fewer folks who don’t need a lot of space. I could imagine staying here for an entire month quite easily given the thinking that went into the design of this clean, comfortable cottage. There’s a full sized washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a comfy bed, a nice bathroom - I was on a long cross-country road trip from Texas and wished I was staying another week! Carole was so wonderful to visit with and helpful with everything I needed. I’ll be back again with my wife next time we visit Eugene for sure!

Perfect stay for mommy and baby

I am so lucky to have found Carole's cottage. It is a gem in West Eugene. The cottage is well appointed with a comfortable bed and stocked kitchen. It is in a cute neighborhood with a few restaurants and parks. Carole was such an accommodating host and helped make my trip so special. I was solo parent traveling with my baby, and Carole was able to provide a crib and high chair, allowing me to pack more efficiently. Carole was quick to respond to my questions and requests, and it was a pleasure to get to chat with her and meet her cute puppy during our visit. She suggested a delicious pastry shop, Noisette, near the cottage, which was a lovely way to end our visit.

She welcomes the weary, the anticipatory, the jubilant, those fraught with bittersweet fondness or the sting of saying goodbye, the joy of a Pacific Northwest sojourn — all while experiencing the lush gateway of nature; indulging in the arts and music; immersing oneself into a diverse culture and cuisine; or lazily visiting and imbibing in the harvested fruits fermented into the fine wines of the Willamette Valley vineyards.
