We had such a great stay at a stones throw. It is the perfect location, so close to downtown and walkable to everything. The house was very clean and was nice it was able to house 8 of us comfortably. I especially loved the back deck which overlooked downtown and was a great place to eat and hang out.
The property is perfect! It is clean and perfect for walking into town or exploring the roads in and out of Estes as well as the Rocky Mountain National Park. The rooms were great and the apartment downstairs was even better! Great time and we will return if we stay again in Estes Park.
My friends and I stayed for 3 nights as part of a girls weekend. The property had ample space, was in a great location and was very cute/charming. We also appreciated the great parking since Estes Park was crowded. We utilized the outdoor living space to share meals and laughs.
This property was excellent. There was plenty of space for us to spread out. The best part was the location, the name couldn’t be more accurate. We were able to walk around downtown from the house anytime we wanted and barely had Toto leftovers for anything. It is only 10 minutes or so to the national park and convenient to get anyway. We would absolutely stay here again.
Great communication with the owner. Sadly couldn’t attend last minute due to a sick family member. Really appreciated all of the area info provided with the VRBO, it helped with planning activities and restaurant reservations. I was looking forward to an enjoyable trip at this property, hopefully another time.
We had an amazing trip with friends for a wedding in town. This location is perfect! We were able to walk to town within like 2 minutes every morning for coffee and amazing food. It’s close to a very nice creek with a small park for enjoying a water view and ice cream. Love that the house had everything from comfortable beds to a washer and dryer as well as shampoo and q-tips! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you SO much!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Estes that is in town, this is perfect for you! The location is great. I didn't want to have to walk up and down the hill to get into town, and with this house you don't have to.
The house was perfect for a Girl's Trip of 4. We each had our own room. The basement even has its own entrance, so would be great for a large family also.
Nice deck off the back to sit and relax.

The heat was not working, which we learned when we returned from dinner the first night. The manager was responsive and sent someone over to fix it. The bathrooms were not particularly clean - drips on walls and doors, dirt build up on the trim. Shower tile had some discoloration in the corners from orange mold. It is quite old and smells a bit musty. It is a very average rental. The location is great.
We have stayed there before, so knew what to expect. It's comfortable & clean & we had a family of elk park themselves in the side yard for a while. There are some issues that need attention. Furnace didn't work, so Ts were in the low 60s at night to morning. Luckily, we didn't have cold weather. Water is dripping from freezer to frig - lower level. Two chairs down there have exposed screws
Having stayed at the same location last year, we just wanted to continue the same experience in an excellent location for the Long Peak Scot Fest. Other than a few oddities about the house, the facilities were just fine. You need to fix the stove top light source - didn't work. No big deal - breakfast happened anyway. Thanx - will consider for next year as well. Cheers
We had a great time staying here. The house was a perfect fit for my family of 5. Everyone and their own space. The location was perfect to walk to everything!
Excellent location. Overlooks a little river where people gather to eat ice cream. One sunny and one shady place to sit outside. Comfortable beds. Lots of room to spread out and clean bathrooms.
We had an amazing stay at Stone’s Throw. The house is very clean and spacious. It is in a great location to enter RMNP and a short walk to town. We sat out on the deck every evening. We used the grill and the kitchen is well stocked. We loved everything about the house and the teens loved being able to walk to town for an afternoon ice cream.
Had a great stay! We had a group of 4 people and stayed for one week. It was very comfortable and had plenty of room. The location can’t be beat too, it is easy walking distance from pretty much everything in downtown Estes. Would definitely stay here again!
Overall, really cute place. One of the beds was extremly hard, and we would have stayed in the basement if it didn't have an outside door in it, but we made it work.
