Most amazing view from the deck/seating area at a great elevation that allowed for great sunset/sunrise and overall views. Great sf. for the two of us. I bit hard to find the actual unit on the campus of condos. Wonderful location, quiet, close to town and entrances to Rocky Mtn. National park. Could have been cleaner, but I have pretty high standards of cleanliness. Steps up to unit where hard/slanted downward which made it a bit difficult to climb especially when carrying loads from car. Never found a hot tub or pool to use, directions were not provided. I would definitely stay in the area off Mary's Lake Road again, but hopeful for better descriptions in the future of all units available.
Fantastic view and location. It is nice to be outside of Estes in a more relaxed area. The condo is a little small but for two people it was okay. When we walked in I felt like we walked into one of our son's first apartments. Furniture is mixed-matched. The sofa was very low, hard to get up from (we are in our 60's and 70's), and felt broken down. The recliners were comfortable but did not match. The bathroom is small, but kind of what I would expect in a condo this size. The water pressure in the shower was good and hot water came quickly. I truly feel with a little TLC, this could be a fantastic place to stay. It just needs a little bit of care and decorating.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Very disappointed!
Very rundown, neglected property, with holes in walls, a mattress on a temporary metal frame instead of the bed pictured in the listing. Old, stained furniture and a window AC unit held in with masking tape. Outside furniture very old, rusty; and the deck had peeling paint and needed repair badly. Our camper bathroom would have been bigger/nicer. Only redeeming value was the location, which is a gorgeous view. For what we paid, EXTREMELY disappointing and ended up leaving early.
This best thing about this condo unit was the balcony and view!! Great to sit out there either in tbe rockers or at the table with coffee in am or wine in pm. The inside was very clean. A little outdated but very clean. Smaller than I expected from the pictures. Enough space for my husband, myself and my teenage daughter who slept on pull out couch. When that was opened it was difficult to walk through to the kitchen but not really a bid deal. Beds wewe comfortable, including the pullout. Only an AC unit in bedroom. We found a stand fan and had it blowing into the living room with both ceiling fans on and that did the trick. Kitchen had basic cooking supplies and they provided coffee and filters for pot. Only real negative thing was that around the AC in the window wasn't completely sealed, you could see to the outside and we had a lot of tiny flies come in. Otherwise nice place.
We loved our stay at Mary’s lake condo! The views were amazing, the condo had everything we needed, and it’s close to RMNP and downtown Estes. We’ll definitely stay here again:)
My husband and I stayed at this property for three nights. It was very close to Rocky Mountain National Park and had wonderful mountain views. It was perfect for the two of us!
Could not have asked for a cozier home base for exploring Estes Park. It was unusually cool for our stay, but we still managed to enjoy the balcony which was the big selling point for us anyway. The interior was most suitable, i.e. the king sized bed and kitchen, although I cannot imagine trying to accommodate more than two people in it.
2 years ago while recovering from cancer related surgery I contracted Covid and was placed on a ventilator. I planned this trip to coincide on the exact dates I was in coma. Since I was in hell 2 years ago I thought I would swing by heaven. It was wonderful and therapeutic.
Beautiful part of town. The shower sucks. It's very small and sort of inconvenient. That was the most annoying part. The fire place didn't work. Also, the TV kept turning itself off. It was all very weird. However, we still made the most out of it and enjoyed our stay.
The property was amazing and comfortable. Just three suggestions - oven mitts would be great, I couldn’t find any!!; butter - hard to buy a small amount of butter but still need it; more coffee, even if you charge for it. Thank you for the first bag but once again, hard to buy a small amount and I really enjoyed my first morning coffee watching g the sun come up. Also, toaster only does one side of the bread at once!!!
The wife and I visit Estes Park every year to celebrate the New Year and my birthday. We tend to bounce around where we stay and happened upon this gem. The large private patio is awesome and has a couple rocking chairs. The living room upon walking in is small but cozy. The recliners and couch are very comfortable. You’ll find a tidy kitchen with the necessary items needed to prepare meals. The bedroom is large and has a closet with miscellaneous items such as fans, games, and extra bedding. The bathroom is nice and the shower has great water pressure! We couldn’t locate any cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper or paper towels but that didn’t detract from the property or the experience.
Perfect place for the two of us to stay for our fall break trip to Estes Park! Clean, cozy, and comfortable with beautiful views! We loved the deck! Quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of town. Easy drive to Rocky Mountain Nation Park to hike as well as to downtown Estes Park to shop and go out to eat!
This condo was perfect for my husband and I's trip to Colorado this fall. Plenty of dishes and cookware for us to make meals at the condo, wonderful views from the balcony to enjoy our morning coffee, and straightforward instructions on checking in and out. Location was great for us - we didn't want to be in the middle of all the traffic/businesses, yet it was a short drive to central Estes Park and RMNP when needed.
My family and I were very pleased with our stay at Powell Peak! It was very clean, a great location, and quiet. The bathroom and kitchen were well appointed with what we needed. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning with some coffee and walking to Mary Lake with my kids.
