This unit is in a community of 45 mountain cabins with a spa pool shared by all guests that closes strictly at 9pm.

Check in is 4pm and later, and check out is 10am and earlier, with early check in available for a small fee but cannot be reserved until 24h before arrival and only then if the cleaning schedule allows for it.

Like nearly all homes in Estes, this cabin has no air conditioning. Portable fans are provided, and mountain breezes cool things down quickly each evening.

The Solitude HOA is a quiet area of holiday cabins near Lake Estes, just a few minutes from city centre Estes Park. This is a peaceful, family-friendly resort community. It encompasses 45 standalone cabins, a main lodge with 7 hotel-style rooms, and a meeting space/gathering area. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to city centre Estes Park.

You will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town`s free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude area. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to city centre, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.

NO SMOKING, NO FIRES

This home was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park`s holiday homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned. Gas is OK.

ROAD CONDITIONS

Estes has a great plough team and our parking area will also be ploughed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be ploughed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4x4 when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
