Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Highs: Extremely clean cabin! Property sat way up the hill backed up to just mountains. There was very minimal ambient noise (aside from the rutting elk). Located close to downtown, but away from the traffic and noise. Best price I found for a cabin to house 6 adults. Deer came right up to the cabin to say hello every evening. Beautiful sunrise and multiple rainbow views. I was looking for a rustic stay, not a luxurious stay, and this checked all the boxes for that expectation. Lows: Walls are paper thin, so if someone in your crew snores- bring ear plugs! Pillows were very thick and hard, bring your own. No dishwasher, hand washing was fine- just expect it. Heater was a very old space heater, the pilot light was not lit, so we had to use a match and a stick (couldn't find a lighter) to get it going. Once the heater was operational, it heated the entire space sufficiently for our late September stay. Buffalos: The cabins are operated by Ponderosa Realty (there is no one local you can call/speak to). Which was fine, but I like having an on-site contact for my cabin stays. The drive from the main street to the cabin is a pretty rough road, 4WD recommended. We would stay here again.
