We are so happy to provide our lovely sanctuary as a base camp for enjoying Rocky Mountain National Park. Our luxury log home, built in 1995, is a gorgeous 2850 square-foot mountain paradise, sitting on the banks of the Big Thompson River with a hot tub and massive covered deck.
Our past guests have raved:
`... If you want a one-of-a-kind stay in beautiful Estes Park you cannot go wrong with Carole`s place. From the moment you step in the door you will be blown away by the Western decor of this lavishly appointed, luxury log home.` - Kevin
`... I have found when reading these reviews, sometimes `less is more.` So all I need to say is this: this cabin is by far the best mountain cabin and peaceful retreat I’ve ever stayed at in the Rocky Mountains. And I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins. Book it. You will love it.` - Todd
`... This beautiful log cabin is a MUST! Heated floors, big huge windows and super clean. I will definitely stay here again. BOOK NOW!` - Jackie
`... She has a big hot tub outside which was so relaxing even when it was snowing outside. We were able to cook every meal so her kitchen is set up with enough tools to cook for many people. We had the best time and walked away with amazing memories and laughter! Thank you for having us again!` - Boglarka
The ten-acre lot backs up to the National Park, so you`re almost guaranteed to see elk, bear or deer. Several picnic and seating areas in the yard allow you to relax to the sounds of the river, which you can also fish.
The home is just minutes from the Beaver Meadows entry gate to the National Park, and just a few more minutes to downtown Estes Park. Being on the west side of town is a wonderful bonus, allowing you to avoid traffic and just relax.

Guest have access to our entire property, minus our garage. That includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, our huge shaded wraparound deck, our riverfront yard, hot tub, and the land backing up onto Giant Track Mountain.
My husband and I visit occasionally but have turned over management to Nathan our co-hosts. They are long time Estes Park locals with a wealth of information.
Our home is in a gorgeous little neighborhood on the Big Thompson River, and our property is riverfront and also backs up to Giant Track Mountain. Giant Track is a huge open space that eventually backs up to parts of Rocky Mountain National Park so there`s a lot of wildlife to spot. The Big Thompson is easily fished from our house provided you have a permit.
It`s pretty easy to get around here, but if you want to take public transport, you can walk exactly 1 mile to the Elk Meadow Lodge and hop aboard the free summer shuttle that goes all over town and into the National Park.
WIFI SPEED
This unit is in a neighborhood that has yet to get fiber. We have a DSL connection. It is fast enough to stream high def video to 3 simultaneous televisions, but may cause problems for heavy downloaders or families with multiple children home schooling.
NOISE
This unit is in a quiet neighborhood and we really, really want to maintain great relationships with our neighbors. Please be respectful of your noise level! If you`re on the deck at night, please keep the conversation levels low. Note that we use a NoiseAware, which measures sound levels and alerts our team if things are too loud. It does not record content so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (and our managers will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet.
NONPAYING GUESTS
Insurance forbids nonpaying and non-registered guests on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests.
AIR CONDITIONER
Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool mountain breeze cools the home off quickly in the evenings.

It was a lovely setting with a peaceful nights sleep hearing the river flowing. Beautiful artwork and native touches throughout the home. We would stay again!
This was the perfect location for our Estes Park getaway! Hearing (and seeing) the river was wonderful. The hot tub was the cleanest we’ve ever seen for a rental property! The property management company was great with timely responses.
The house was almost perfect. We just had 3 issues, internet connection was not good, bed upstairs in master suite needs replacing, and my surprise was the lack of wine glasses and martini glasses and kitchen was dated and small for the house 🤔but the porch, patio, hot tub and overall living space was great, love the river sound!
Beautiful cabin..Even though it was just the two of us. The furnishings were gorgeous, stream in front was beautiful. Very clean with all the amenities. The outside porch was gorgeous with the view of the creek and the hot tub was wonderful plus! I wish we had had our family to enjoy it with us.. It would be a lovely family gathering anytime of the year!
fabulous cabin at a fabulous location. Loved falling asleep with the windows open and listening to the rushing river. Hot tub was very relaxing after hikes in the mountains. Wonderful place to stay
Fantastic house in Estes Park. Located in quite area outside of downtown, just a few minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain NP. Huge house with plenty of space, very clean. Communication with owners was great, would defintely recommend.
This cabin was absolutely stunning and made of beautiful ponderosa pine! Truly a beautiful cabin! Way too big but we made ourselves comfy & the hot tub was the perfect destination to ease our aching muscles after a nice hike! It's a beautiful, large hot tub that gets nice and toasty and has wonderful muscle soothing jets! Host was ultra attentive and helpful and truly loved our stay there!
Easy check-in. Very clean! Loved the porch! Lots of room for large gatherings. Appreciated the extra towels, as well as the washer & dryer. Everything you needed in the kitchen. The beds were a bit too firm for us, but other than that, it was a perfect stay!
The booking was easy, communication through the stay was easy, ending the stay was easy, and the place was even bigger and more homey than the pictures led on. My new bride said it was perfect so that's all the review I need😊
Great house and location on a gorgeous river. We had 8 adult mee for a guys trip, and the sleeping arrangements were a bit tight for that large of a group. But we made it work.
We enjoyed our snowy April stay. Saw wild life and had a great time. My only suggestion would be check incidentals a little more. Examples batteries in remotes, wine bottle opener and dishes were limited. All in all we enjoyed the house, the location and the views.
We stayed in April and had the area to ourselves. The property was great. The river was nice. Really not much to complain about other than a few little things. The heat was not working in one bedroom but we had a spare. Had to buy a sharp kitchen knife. The internet was pretty terrible but we weren't streaming videos, etc.
Otherwise, it was great. I would go back without hesitation.
Fantastic! Unbelievable! Phenomenal! These are just a few of the words to describe our stay at this one-of-a-kind luxury cabin. We travel quite a bit and have stayed at a lot of very nice places. This tops them all. The pictures do a good job of showing the cabin, but in real life it's even better. The inside is immaculately appointed. Lots of room for everyone. We had everything we needed. Each bedroom was gorgeous with beds that were almost too comfortable to be real. We especially enjoyed the large gathering area with the fireplace. The outdoor deck looking over the river is the stuff movies are made of. We especially enjoyed the large hot tub after long days exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. The host is the best we've ever worked with. Very responsive and incredibly accommodating. This cabin was perfect for our family. We will definitely stay here again. It was the perfect weekend getaway.
On a one to ten scale this house is a fifteen! Everything about the home is exquisite and top quality. The manager was very communicative and helpful. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to return! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with us! ❤
Beautiful location close enough to town for some fun and yet far enough away for relaxation and privacy. The home is beautiful! We love the huge covered deck looking over the river, stunning stone fireplace, and the outdoor hot tub is an amazing comfort for chilly evenings.
Great place to have our immediate family reunion while attending extended family reunion at the Y camp. Beautiful place. Kitchen well stocked with equipment.
The property was beautiful and clean. The beds and pillows were comfy. We all slept with the windows open to listen to the sound of the river at night. We woke up early to drink coffee on the large riverfront porch and then headed a few minutes down the road to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was the perfect place to stay and we'd happily return.
