Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Esgrus?
The best area to stay in Esgrus is the main village centre, particularly around Uferstraße and Dorfstraße, for its central location and easy access to amenities.

This area is the heart of Esgrus, offering a peaceful and scenic base for your stay. You'll find a selection of local eateries and shops within a short walk. Its proximity to the Schlei fjord means you're never far from beautiful water views and opportunities for lakeside strolls. This central location makes it convenient for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find the main village centre particularly appealing. The slower pace of life, combined with access to charming local restaurants and picturesque walks along the fjord, creates a relaxing setting. Many accommodations here offer views of the water or the lush, green landscape, superb for unwinding.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities and a quiet environment, the areas just outside the village centre towards the fjord, such as those along Fjordstraße, are also excellent choices. These spots often provide direct access to walking and cycling paths, with stunning natural scenery right on your doorstep.
