The Little House

The modern conveniences of The Little House sharply contrast the old-fashioned construction. Original rough sawn ceiling joist are exposed, with the builder's layout marks clearly visible on the ceiling highlight the main living area where you can relax on the sofa. The space
After a day of exploring the mountains or desert around Escalante, wash the trail dust off in a warm shower and let your muscles recover during a peaceful nights rest on the queen size bed. Open the windows at night to experience the 30-40 degree cooldown from the warm temperature of the daytime and the night sounds of a rural community. View the expanse of space from the back patio. When hunger strikes, the well-equipped kitchen boasts a to-scale fridge, range, microwave, sink, and plenty of dishware, so it won't be a struggle whipping up some of your favorite recipes in this small space. The property was wonderful! We had everything we needed. We used The Tiny House as our base camp to visit Capitol Reef NP and many of the SPs and byways and overlooks. The owner is very friendly and stays on top of any concerns you might have.

Very cute and cozy little house. Well thought out accommodations as they have everything you need for your stay. There is no laundry but there is a small laundrimat about 1 block away off the main street. Very quiet. Loved our stay

Escalante getaway

We were in escalante for the weekend to hike and the little house was perfect for us ! It had everything we needed and was nice to come back to at the end of the day. The host has preserved a great piece of local history ! Great town , great place , great host! Would definitely recommend for anyone to visit

It is a wonderful studio house! Loved everything about it. Was able to stay warm with the extra space heater ( got down to 22). Definitely would stay here again.

Escalante visit

We spent a few days exploring the slot canyons in the area. The Tiny House was a great base location and worked fine for the two of us. It would have been nice to have a couple more chairs for when friends stopped by.

Little”Big” House

As we traveled the west visiting National Parks the Little House was Big on accommodating on our needs. A beautiful stay at the Grand Staircase! Very clean and comfortable. Would recommend to others.

The Perfect Place!

The Little House was truly perfect for two people! The house is very clean, the neighborhood is quiet, and the home has everything you will need. Melani was very kind and easy to communicate with. If we ever return to Escalante, we will be staying here again!

Cute little house!

This was the perfect spot for two adults. The furniture was comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is some interesting history to the house itself that the host provided. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Escalante.

Host is the best

This was our second stay at the little house, our host Melani, is great. The house is clean and exactly as advertised. Melani even gave us produce from her garden and apple tree. Best place to stay in Escalante!

A perfect base for Escalante hiking

We stayed in this sweet little home for 4 nights as a base for multiple big hikes in the Grand Staircase Escalante NM. The location could not be more perfect in terms of proximity to restaurants and groceries, as well as proximity to amazing wilderness and canyons. The house has everything you need, is beautifully decorated and maintained, and Melani responded quickly and graciously to all of our questions. A wonderful stay, we would definitely come again.

The "Little House" was perfect for our needs. The owners thought of everything that a visitor would need, down to the salt and pepper shakers. The couch and bed were comfortable. There is a garden where (at the right season) vegetables and fruit are there for the picking. We look forward to returning someday.

Small but didn't matter.

Little house was small in stature but huge in comfort and coziness. Only stayed one nite but could have spent more time for sure. Immaculate and well equipped. Had all amenities needed. Bed very comfortable.

Heavenly Little House

Our stay in Melani's little house was fantastic. We enjoyed reading the history of the house. I'm a big fan of perserving the past. The house was thoughtfully stocked and delightfully decorated. Melani and her family suggested a couple of great hikes in the area, and a wonderful place for dinner and breakfast. We hope we can stay in this heavenly little house again. Thank You!!!

Early Spring trek to Grand Staircase

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful two nights at the Little House. We had everything we needed and Melani was great to provide a heads up on the access to the local grocery store since we came in late on a Sunday. Enjoyed hiking to the falls near Lower Calf Creek and would book again for sure. If you are lucky enough to get a taste her cookies, they are amazing. :) Walt Hammett
