"Comfortable room, excellent dinner & breakfast "

"I was amazed by the hospitality at Hoffman Guesthouse. From the very beginning, when the woman who owns the place moved her vehicle so I could have her parking spot to the personal dinner she made for us -- I was impressed. We arrived exhausted after driving for hours with 4 kids and the restaurant was closed but she said it would be no problem if we would all be willing to have schnitzel and fries. We agreed (happily!). We came down at the agreed time and she had a fantastic German salad...

"This hotel requires some updates to its rooms. While the lobby, restaurant, and restrooms appear fresh and modern, the rooms feature stained carpets and outdated furniture. The location is likely the main factor in the pricing, as being situated within Old Town was certainly advantageous for visiting the city and the Christmas Market. The front desk staff were neither warm nor welcoming, making us feel as though we were inconveniencing them. However, the included breakfast was enjoyable and...

"Really nice hotel in the center of town. Breakfast was excellent. The room was large and well appointed, even if a little dated. There was a fan which is very rare in German hotels, but very helpful when it’s hot. Parking (on site) can be tough due to its location. Close to the train station as well. The staff was wonderful. "
