The hotel looks good and is kept very clean, and our room was spacious.

Beds were good altough the bed covers were stained everything else was good.

Loved the cleanliness, the sandy beach pool, and outdoor atmosphere! The food was good at all of the restaurants! Smoke-free!

The staff are all friendly, accommodating and housekeeping takes pride in room cleanliness. Rooms tend to be small, the furnishings bare bones and aging. Non-urbanites might be put off by downtown LA, but the hotel is well situated - close to the Metro, courthouse, immigration, Angels Flight, Grand Central Market and more. Unfortunately, the rooms have thin walls and conversations from your neighbors can be easily heard. The rooms (especially lower floors) facing 2nd St. are subject to noise until late from the bar next door that has outdoor seating and then very early trash collection noise. Given all that, it's still one of the best deals if you have to stay in downtown LA.
