air conditioning didn't work, room was very hot. a fan was supplied but had little impact on the temp. bed was comfortable but in general the room was a little tired decor wise. staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was excellent with the exception of the orange juice from the chiller which was warm

Weekend stay.
Cleary's has a beautiful old-worldly themed dining room where a delicious breakfast was served. Staff were A* in terms of service and helpfulness. The lady on reception was a real gem and explained to us where to park for free (the railway station, about 1 minute walk away, which was free as it was Saturday night/Sunday. Excellent advice since the Leisure Centre carpark was charging a Euro per hour!) The bedrooms have older, dark coloured furniture but are spacious. The bathroom was more up-to-date in terms of decor and my only quibble with it was the energy saving lights which went off momentarily whilst I was showering. Some modernisation required in terms of decor but a very pleasant stay overall.

Disappointing
Disappointed with the size of room, no table lamps in room and main lights were too bright to leave on, had to leave wardrobe open to use light in it. Limited car parking, only 8 spaces in it and other carpark was 3 minutes walk up a very steep hill and very few spaces in that also. Leisure club was separate from hotel and you had to pay.

Broken shower head, water everywhere, reception staff not bothered, to busy speaking to other member of staff. Clothes that was in bathroom soaking wet, had to dispose of them Restaurant staff not getting food order correct. Overall a disappointing experience.

Had 3 nights in the hotel. Bed was very comfy, staff very friendly. Bar food was good. Carparking isn't great, but at least it's free. Room was a little tired, wallpaper peeling off in places and carpet was patched.

Very poor impression when you arrive as a very strong smell of cooking oilwhich stayed until the kitchen closed. Please either install better ventilation or turn it on. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Thai restaurant was below average

Excellent Hotel
Very helpful staff and very friendly. Room was well equipped and clean. Good bar with good food. Breakfast was excellent and catered for every taste . Would definitely stop again, highly recommended .

Well situated and friendly staff
Good base for this part of Ireland. Friendly staff. Room noisy at weekend 2nd floor due to entertainment. Bed could have been more comfortable.

stayed few times before and was great now it was still ok this time young staff were great just it seemed they were doing everything.room was bit dirty and the light in middle of room was viberating everytime the upper floor was walking.entertainment still good and i suppose it needs time to get back on feet fully.just more attention to detail and that should come from the manager.example the breakfast was grand but the milk bottles on table had dirt all wedged into the groves at the top,so bit off putting.also stop advertising the pool is part of their facilities,now we used it and it was nice and you get your money back from hotel for what u paid in.just needs a proper clean up over all and better management.like mangers shouldnt be going behind breakfast counter with jackets on dishing up their own breakfast,so lead from example.

Very disappointed with bed .bottom sheet not ironed and Bed of really inferior quality .got change of room .second Room a little bit better but bed still terrible ..two single bed jutted together ..one bed was awful.. you could feel springs as you lay on it.parking was unsuitable as you had to walk along way around to it and it was up hill and a long way from front door .very noisy hotel as you heard every body walking and talking on corridors as we tried to sleep.definitely definitely won’t be back

Arrived early and we're abruptly told check ins 4 o'clock.... although it said 3 o'clock on the booking form.....not a good start....came back later and the person on the desk couldn't be nicer....

Our stay was good. The staff are very good. The room was nice and cosy. A good selection of channels on the tv. Food and service was good. A bit overpriced though. I have one major complaint and that was the swimming pool. I could not bring my son swimming because the pool was booked out with lessons. One of the main reasons for booking with this hotel was because it is advertised as having a pool. The pool is in a leisure centre. Not in the hotel. Therefore it was open to everyone.

Have stayed here a few times before The bar shows football and the food is always amazing, rooms are a decent size, clean, bed is comfy and they have upgraded the TVs recently to smart TVs which is great. Only downside is the WiFi is terrible, doesn’t work in your room and struggles to work even in the common areas such as the bar.
