"I had a wonderful stay at Powter Howe, a real treat. The room and bathroom were immaculately cleaned and well kept and the host is a gem who cooks the best breakfast which includes lovely free range eggs from her own hens. Waking up in the morning to the view over a beautiful garden beyond the lake to Skiddaw was an extra treat as each morning there was a new ever changing Lake District vista. I'll definitely be back! "I stayed in one of the cabins and it was so lovely! Clean, cosy and quiet. There is another cabin right next door, and the campervans are just outside, but I didn't notice it at all. A few bits that looked a little neglected, I had to put the shower door seal back on, the bathroom heater had seen better days, and so had the blinds. Check in and check out were simple, and the staff were cheery and happy to help :)"

"Was very pleasantly surprised. Staff were very professional, polite and helpful. Room was fantastic with views across Keswick and the mountains. Short walk into Keswick town centre with its plethora of shops, cafes and bars. Breakfast was faultless. Buffet style with hot traditional English selections, pastries, fruit and cereal. Would definitely stay here if we were to go back again."
