Notice: The beach access trail across the street is temporarily closed. There are two other beach access trails within one mile of the unit, located at Stonesteps or Grandview. Host will provide $25/day credit for Uber rides to the beach access.

A perfect relaxing beach retreat with an AMAZING Ocean View. The upstairs oceanfront town home was just remodeled in January 2024 and has 2 very large bedrooms, 2 baths and is just across Neptune from the Bluff and stairs to Beacon's beach. The upstairs town home is perfect for families or a group of friends. The oceanfront home, has just been completely remodeled inside and out and has an updated look along with the character Encinitas is famous for.
Included are 2 private parking spots, 2 soft surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach toys. Just arrive and you are ready for a wonderful day at the Beacon's beach. The bedrooms are well acquainted with King beds and matching bedroom sets. For larger groups, we have a convertible futon, with a sheet and comforter set. The entire home is very nicely furnished and well outfitted.

The area is the quintessential 1960's beach town, with modern splashes of luxury and tons of eclectic soul. The home is just across Neptune from the stunning cliffs the boast views of the entire coastline, and the stairs that lead down to world class, Beacons Beach. The home is also just blocks away from several great places to eat or have a drink.

Everything about the property was as described. Bright and clean, comfortable and peaceful. Watching the ocean, listening to the ocean and watching and joining the life at Neptune and Beacons made it hard to pack up and leave.

I had a conference to attend in Carlsbad and thought it would be more fun to take the family on a quick vacation than stay solo in the hotel. It was great! I love Encinitas and this particular neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed.

Lovely space
This property is excellent, the rooms are large and clean, furniture is comfortable, kitchen pretty well stocked. Sunsets off the balcony are awesome. In all honesty, however, it should be noted that the stairs are very steep to reach the second floor and there is a train that runs nearby by about every half hour that blows its horn. That starts around 5:20AM til late. It didn't bother me, but it did my husband. Just be prepared. Perfect spot if you like to surf, run, bike, etc.

Great location with an awesome view. We very much enjoyed the beach equipment the property made available to us, particularly the bodyboards. It's hard to find space for equipment like that while travelling so having it available from the rental was very convenient.

2 Adult couples. Day 2, one person started having severe respiratory issues. Sneezing, coughing and runny nose. Day 3 another guest developed similar respiratory issues. Day 4, another guest developing severe respiratory issues enduring sleepless nights. And our 4 th guest developed A scratchy throat and congestion on our 6 th day. We all experienced “COVID” like symptoms. We tested for COVID. All negative results. Cause of all guests getting sick? Very old and shabby carpet in Bedrooms. But the main problem was the floor mounted air conditioners. Master bedroom had NO Windows that could be opened. So, AC was required To get air movement. Units are old and I surmise that The filters in the units have NEVER been changed. Each bedroom had a unit and the living area as well. Poor ventilation required the units to be running in all rooms. Unit was right across the street from the beach. Damp conditions create mold and mold can be a large irritant. My symptoms ceased getting worse when we stopped using AC in master bedroom on day 5. We departed the unit 9 am on Saturday and still Monday Night symptoms are still a problem. I find it impossible to believe that these issues have not shown themselves with other guests. In addition, the picture in the advertising was likely taken 10-15 years ago. The place is shabby. And all guests got sick. I never write reviews but this place inspired me!
