"Location of hotel is ideal as it's in the town centre. Reception is nice and welcoming. Check in was simple. Our room was great with a lot of space. Bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet. I booked this hotel on the basis it had a swimming pool and spa and the photo of the hotel is a photo of the pool, so I assumed as a customer I would have use of the pool for the duration of my stay, but apparently not. "I loved this, it had a lot of ‘bates motel’ vibes which is an absolute complement. I wasn’t expecting much for how cheap we got the room, but it was honestly lovely. Free WiFi, access to tv and lots of channels, shower and a bath, additional pillows, storage space, etc. loved it! We will be back for sure! Very convenient if you don’t mind a walk into the centre too, and cctv on the car park is a big win for me too. "

"Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "

"My Husband I stayed at the Mercure Hotel for one night to go to a concert at the Utilita Stadium. the hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. It was warm and room facilities were good. There was a kettle, tea bags (no biscuits) coffee, iron and board, hairdryer, shampoo and gel. Very good hotel but pool not included
"Location of hotel is ideal as it's in the town centre. Reception is nice and welcoming. Check in was simple. Our room was great with a lot of space. Bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was really good with a wide selection of hot and cold food. I booked this hotel on the basis it had a swimming pool and spa and the photo of the hotel is a photo of the pool, so I assumed as a customer I would have use of the pool for the duration of my stay, but apparently not. The hotel contacted me before I arrived letting me know of some extras to add to my stay, like dinner, bigger room, etc. Not once did they tell me the pool is not included even though the photo shown to you first is the pool"
