We loved the cabin! Located in the middle of Paradise Valley and right on the Yellowstone river. It was the perfect retreat after spending the day floating the river or seeing the sites of Yellowstone National Park.

Our stay with Carol and Pete was amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice just how beautiful the cabin and location is. Perfect jumping off point for Yellowstone and lots of fishing locations.
Pete and Carol are fantastic hosts!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay or a better host. The host was out of town so her DIL ( Holly) filled in for them and she did a great job. The view was absolutely gorgeous, my husband said it looked like a picture. This was our first visit to Montana and we will be back and we will book this cabin again …

First of all The property owners are outstanding. They are generous and responsive. Provided homemade cinnamon buns, fresh eggs, cream, bread, butter and jam. You can tell they love to help guests maximize their stay.
The house is delightful. Right on the Yellowstone River. The towels, bedding and robes are of high quality.
We were so happy there.

Our stay at Paradise Gateway was amazing! Pete & Carol's hospitality is unmatched!! So many local insights to restaurants, maps & park secrets only the locals know about, and even where to go view a Mama Grizzly with her 3 cubs!! The cabin is beautiful, clean, cozy, washer/dryer is definitely a PLUS & the kitchen has everything you need to cook!! The cabin sits right on the Yellowstone River with sprawling views that can't be beat! Thank you Pete and Carol for opening up your home to our family. We can't wait to visit again soon.

You can only give this place 5 stars because you don’t have the option for more. Carol and Pete are beyond amazing!!!!! We lucked up and got their cabin not knowing that they would make it the vacation we always wanted!!! Please do you and your family a favor and stay at their property. You will remember it for a life time!!

I can't say enough about this place and the owners. Pete and Carol were amazing from the time we booked until after we left. They told us some local info on where to eat, where to fish, where to see the bears, and just about anything that we may want to do during the stay. The cabin itself was amazing. I hope to bring my family back in the future. The pictures and description of the area and cabin were great but the reality was even better. The views from the cabin both front and back made for a great time for a morning cup of coffee or an evening beverage. I will be back again and hope to make it to the evening campfire to sit around and enjoy time with the hosts.
Pete & Carol - thank you for an amazing stay!!

Our stay at Pete and Carol's place was fabulous. Very easy to reach from Bozeman airport, perfect location just outside Yellowstone north entrance, fully-stocked kitchen for cooking, lovely river and mountain views, comfortable beds, screened-in porch, VERY charming! Pete and Carol were amazing hosts, making sure every need was met and anticipated. Pete's knowledge of the park proved priceless, and each day we couldn't wait to get back and do some fishing in the Yellowstone river (walk outside and there it is!) My husband and son spent their free time casting into the river and caught several fish. We stayed for a week and never ran out of things to do. We will be back! Thank you Pete and Carol!

Our cabin was perfect. Cozy, clean, comfortable and you can’t beat the scenery. It was wonderful having a “base” that was close to so many things we wanted to see. We spent time in the park, the valley, local restaurants - 5 stars to the Outpost. Shopping in Livingston and Bozeman. It was a little too cool for rafting or fishing (we are Floridians) but we enjoyed every moment. Carol is so easy to work with. Our travel was a mess coming in, but she handled it and is very pleasant. We were able to talk with Pete (not enough!). I highly recommend this experience - we will be back.

This home is so very cozy (and clean) and the views are just breathtaking! The porch overlooking the Yellowstone River and Emigrant Peak was definitely the spot to be with our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. Although we could not get into Yellowstone as often as we'd wished, we filled our days with rafting, horseback riding, hiking, relaxing at the cabin and checking out the shops and restaurants in Bozeman, Livingston and Gardiner. The week that we were there, we were unable to book a commercial tour into the North Entrance of Yellowstone (the only way to access the national park from the North Entrance during the time that we were there), so we decided to get up early and drive to the West Entrance. It's very possible to do and we were well prepared - we woke up early and were on the road at 5 a.m. in order to be ahead of the traffic at the West Entrance gate. We had a cooler of food, snacks and water for an entire day. Sweatshirts, hats and sunscreen were also a must. But the most helpful thing we had, was a map of the park that Pete provided to us which highlighted the "must see" spots as well as the spots that are not as packed with tourists and the areas that we could skip if we were running short on time. Honestly, if we hadn't had that map and info, we'd probably have spent too much time wandering and would have never gotten to see as much as we had! Carol and Pete were so helpful and a bonus to this property! Definitely book this home if you want to be surrounded by mountains, have a sky full of sparkling stars at night (we could see the Milky Way!) and have friendly and knowledgable hosts that just love to make you feel at home and relaxed!!! Thank you Carol and Pete for making our week so relaxing and fun!! :)

We had an outstanding experience at this property, exceeding our expectations even after reading other glowing reviews. The setting is spectacular and the hospitality is as described - welcoming and attentive throughout the stay. We have stayed in enough rentals to know when owners care and the special touches throughout the cabin (robes, ample towels, local coffee/tea/bread and more) make it clear Carol and Pete want you to feel and home and enjoy. Cannot a better way to visit Montana and Yellowstone on our first of what will surely be many trips. Highly, highly recommend!!!

My family spent 5 wonderful days at this location just after the flooding. We were concerned about being able to make it to the property due to the closures. Carol and Pete helped us navigate our way in with their local knowledge.
Once there, the property was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is right on the river and you can hear the calming waters from the cabin. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of four and the covered patio was the most used part of the house. Even though they had just been through one of the worst floods in the history of the valley, the property held up great. Our cabin was not damaged so don't be worried.
Carol and Pete are such great hosts. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh baked cookies, homemade granola, fresh bread from the local bakery and farm fresh eggs. Pete provided local knowledge of day hikes, fun activities to do and local restaurants.
Even though the park was closed the entire time we were there, we had a great time going horseback riding, touring caverns, walking downtown Bozeman and hanging by the pool at Chico Hot Springs. There is plenty to do in the area even without the park so do not hesitate to come here for some rest and relaxation.
There are local restaurants that all had great food. the Wildflower bakery was a hit for their pastries and drinks. There are also plenty of restaurants in Livingston which is a short beautiful drive up the rode.
The place is so relaxing you could spend the whole day by the river reading a book enjoying some quiet time then hang at the fire pit for great conversation with Pete and Carol
Do not let the park closure discourage you from booking this place as you will have a wonderful time whether you are looking just to relax or are looking to be active.
Thanks to Carol and Pete for making our Yellowstone vacation memorable.

We loved our stay at Yellowstone Meadow! The house was perfect, especially loved the porch and swing. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river right outside our door. It is a short trip into the park and up to Livingston. Would stay here again. Thanks!

We so enjoyed the beauty of the property and home. The home had everything we needed plus some nice little extras. Carol and Pete were both very friendly and helpful and gave us suggestions of what to see in the area. Pete even lent us his binoculars so we could look for bears one evening. A wonderful place to stay!

We stopped and stayed at the cabin on our way across the country to visit family in Wisconsin. Our goal on the trip was to take our time and stay at places on the water. This place met all of our expectations. It was relaxing. The porch was amazing as we spent time watching many ospreys, Emigrant Peak, and fly fishing boats drifting by. The chair swing by the river was relaxing. The owners Carol and Pete were lovely people who very helpful with directions to Old Faithful and any questions we had. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

We stayed for several days with Carol and Pete - they were excellent hosts! Pete's knowledge from his days as a Yellowstone guide really showed, and he had several tips that made our trip much smoother than it could have been.
The home is about 25 minutes north of the north entrance to Yellowstone - so very convenient to the park, whitewater rafting, Chico Hot Springs, as well as the sites of Emigrant and Gardiner.
The cabin was neat and well kept, and the size was just perfect for our family of 5! The views from the cabin itself were beautiful - it sits right on the Yellowstone River an not far from the mountains - so even without a trip to Yellowstone, this Cabin on its own is still a destination!
When we return to Yellowstone we will use this spot again!

Carol and Pete were excellent hosts and I highly recommend their place by the River.
They understand how to run a home efficiently and professionally.
This idiom “devil in the details” apply’s here. Seemingly small details make this almost a corporate stay but with a cozy home feel on a beautiful river away from the crowds.
They offered white-clean, soft robes for wearing around the house.
Cherry jam and wine.
Cream for coffee and eggs for the frying pan.
Washer and dryer with iron & ironing board to boot!
Best of all the place was clean.
Lastly, there is always one or two things that need to be done in any place. Owners are working hard to allow guests to stay late and then there are the guests that want in early.😎
So there is not the time for deep cleaning in between time and sometimes things get overlooked.
Carol and Jim welcomed my suggestion without being defensive and taking it personally.
It was a wonderful 3 night stay.
What I loved most of all was the Yellowstone River was accessible and usable for my dog.
My boyfriend wanted to add his suggestion for all home away’s.
He misses his hand held shower wand. 😕 He feels they save on water.
We are staying in 9 VBRO & Air B&B’s and only one had a hand held wand installed. He recommend’s it for under $40.00 cost.😎
Thank you Carol and Pete for making our stay so memorable.
We even had deer go by each night.

We had the most wonderful stay at Carol and Pete’s river retreat. The cabin was very clean and well kept and we had all we needed for a comfortable stay. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout, even down to leaving fresh eggs and bread, granola, and wine for us. We even showed up with a nail in our tire and Pete let us borrow his portable air pump until we could get it fixed at the repair shop! Their kindness and hospitality was over and beyond anything we could expect! Thank you both again for a beautiful stay.

Just an overall wonderful location, magnificent scenery, peaceful and calming and relaxing home on the Yellowstone River. The home had so much charm and warmth with all the conveniences- you literally couldn’t ask for more. Owners Carol and Pete were just the nicest couple and made sure we had everything we needed and offered site seeing advice too. It’s convenient to go to Yellowstone or Bozeman for skiing and the little town of Emigrant has some wonderful eating places! The only thing missing was more time to spend here so definitely give yourself another day to just relax and enjoy this piece of paradise!

If this is your first time in Yellowstone National Park, I would recommend that you consider this property. The owners Carol and Pete were extremely helpful and wanted to ensure that we had an excellent time. Pete is what I would call a Yellowstone connoisseur, not with local cuisine, but with things to do in the park. He helped plan out our day based on what we wanted to see. Pete also let our dogs out to use the bathroom while we were at the park. The property came with it's own touch of the valley to include fresh farm eggs, jams, butter, bread and wine. I would highly recommend this property,
