Cozy little appartement in Elsah
We had a wonderful stay in this cozy little Elsah apartment. Elsah is a neat little town with a lot of history. We enjoyed walking around the town. The upstairs apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked this property for my birthday weekend. It was so cute and decorated in a French style. It was fully stocked and very cozy. It’s close to Grafton and Alton. The town of Elsah alone is worth the stay. Thank you for a great stay.

The suite was very cozy and very cute. The host had spent time with the decorations and to make it comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful even making suggestions of places to go and eat. Looking forward to a return trip for pleasure

Beautiful setting - love the home!
Terrific historic building in the middle of a picturesque town! Loved the apartment! Only suggesting would be to replace the mattresses and pillows. The bed pillows could definitely use replacing. Overall nice place

We loved our stay at Suite Jane. The building and the inside were charming. Everything was decorated beautifully and was clean as could be. There were even items left for us to use; s&p, oil, coffee/tea, body soap and more. Thank you!

Awesome All-Around
This place was perfect! The care that the owners have taken to restore the property to a lovely historical apartment is apparent. In addition to being beautiful, the apartment was impeccably clean and provided easy access to both the nearby nature trails and St. Louis. For people who like having a quiet place to stay in the evening and easy access to a variety of things to do during the day, you can't ask for a better spot.

Elsah “riveree”
We love Elsah and the river road and visit both every time we come to Alton to see family. This time we were delighted to find this quaint and distinctive apartment to stay in atop a fabulous clothing store located in the main area of Elsah. Staying there gave us a chance to have an intimate visit with a few family members, play board games and take pictures of ourselves in the lovely attire we purchased in the fun store downstairs amidst the French country decor! We highly recommend and will no doubt return!

Small town frozen in time
The town and home was memorizing ! Felt like we stepped back in time. The home was so peaceful and quiet and town , didn’t want to leave . Very clean and easy check in and check out , home was beautiful and well stocked. I had cut my finger and there was a first aid kit , everything we needed to stay , Enjoy the peaceful walks around town in the evening , The owner was great.

Transported to the South of France... right here in IL!
This place was otherworldly, not a single detail was neglected! As I sat sipping tea in a custom made chair sat morning, staring at the 2ft thick walls & original glass windows & floors I felt like I was in Europe again! The owners are some of my favorite people I’ve met in a while, warm, welcoming, generous & the home is just plain decadent! Check in /out was a breeze & the price is so affordable! The village is historic, quaint & reminiscent of a simpler time... visit the antique store, the general store w/ original countertops from the 1800’s or the ladies boutique on the first floor of the home. This is more than a home, it’s an experience & you are robbing yourself if you don’t book this place immoderately! We will be back!

Anniversary getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, and beautifully decorated and you couldn't ask for a more charming town. Jane was very kind and considerate, she had fresh flowers waiting for us along with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't ask for anything more.

True Peace and Quiet
This is a lovely old home charmingly decorated in a truly beautiful setting. The five of us stayed very comfortably in the house and it is very peaceful and beautiful there in the town. The fall colors were just coming in. I highly recommend this rental.
