RECENTLY UPDATED, the River's Edge is a 3 bed/3 bath riverfront cabin on the Cartecay. Whether you're looking to swim, tube, kayak, or do some trout fishing from the fire pit, this is the perfect escape for your family and friends. Nearby trails for hiking and mtn biking as well.

Less than 90 min from Atlanta. 5 min to BJ Reece orchard, 20 min to Amicalola Falls, and less than 15 min to downtown Ellijay.

The space
Main Floor:
River's Edge enters into the main floor, which includes the kitchen, dining area, a bedroom, bathroom, and a spacious living room with a gas fireplace. The French doors at the opposite end of the living room open to a large screened in deck that features 2 ceiling fans and dining table with 6 chairs. The deck overlooks the river and fire pit area. The deck also opens to an unscreened area with a gas grill.

Main Floor Bedroom:
The main floor bedroom features a Queen bed, dresser, a pair of nightstands, and large closet that contains vacation necessities such as folding chairs, a space heater (if needed during the Winter), etc, and opens to the main floor deck area. The main floor bathroom is across the hall.

Top Floor Master Bedroom:
The master bedroom features a Queen bed, a pair of nightstands, a large closet, private bathroom (with new shower), and a private balcony overlooking the river.

Basement Bedroom:
The basement bedroom features brand new twin bunks, a new 40" TV, a dresser, nightstand, large closet, and it opens up to the large basement deck overlooking the river.

Basement Living Room:
The basement living room has new furniture, including a couch, tables, and new 55" TV. It opens up to the large basement deck that overlooks the river. The basement bathroom is off the living room.

Backyard:
There are stairs that lead to the river from the basement deck. That deck is accessible from either side of the house or the basement living room and bedroom. There's a large deck on the river that can be fished from. Stairs lead from the deck to the water, and the opposite side opens to the fire pit area. There are 4 Adirondack chairs (not shown in the pictures) at the fire pit.

Water:
The water depth tends to range from mid-thigh to just past waist in the summer, depending on the recent rain. It's usually crystal clear. The water has mainly a lazy flow, which is perfect for canoeing, tubing, or kayaking. You will see people float by all summer long. Cartecay Experience, located just down the street, offer rentals and will pick you up at designated areas on the river. Trout and bass are the main species caught on the Cartecay, and get quite large depending on the time of year.
