"Giovvani’s house is best described as truly wonderful. Well equipped and spacious. The outstanding aspect is most definitely the terrace and it’s stunning view of the bay. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful!
Giovanni as a host was fantastic, when I asked a question, by email, I always got a rapid response. He gave us really good tips regarding beaches and restaurants.
We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Giovanni as a host and his property!

"Great accommodation in excellent location between Portoferraio and Porto Azzuro with nice views of the sea and mountains. We have stayed here a few times now but did note that it is not quite as well equipped as before with lack of tea towel, oven cloth but otherwise excellent"
"We liked the location , but a car is necessary. It is better to visit a larger number of beaches and choose the one that suits you. Apartment is comfortable and well equipped. The downside of the coin are mosquitoes, there are countless , and do not respond to pills. "
"Bilocale pulito e ordinato, unica pecca il letto matrimoniale che erano due letti singoli, uno dei quali era un divano(un po’ scomodo) e da sotto usciva l’altro letto (abbastanza comodo). Reception poco curata, piscina pulita e ampia. Situato molto bene per raggiungere quasi tutti i luoghi e le spiagge. L’aeroporto adiacente disturba poco o niente, gli aerei sono piccoli e con poca frequenza."
"We had a very pleasant stay in hotel Belmare, everything was very good. The beach near the hotel was really convenient and could be accessed in less than one minute walk. The breakfasts buffet was ok and the scenery of the hotel lobby which is facing the sea is great"
"This privately run camping site is a gem of a find on the island of Elba. Unlike the more commercial campsites such as Eurocamp which are also twice as expensive, this campsite specialises in giving its guests a truly personal touch. Everybody that works there is so friendly and they went out of their way to help myself and children during our stay. The campsite is a few kilometres off the beaten track, and offers great views of the surrounding hills and beach. Having a car would be an advantage...

"Not sure why this place has a 4 star rating, a 3-star rating is being nice. While it’s close to the beach and the house keeping staff were amazing, that’s about all the nice things I can say. The check in staff was rude and basically threw us our key and didn’t explain anything. We got yelled at for parking near our room after being told to park there to unload our bags ourselves. While there is a private beach for the hotel, they don’t tell you beforehand hand that you have to pay to use it. $27 euro a day. You get no towels for the beach or the pool and if you ask for one it’s a big deal and they try and charge you $10 euro a day per towel and was a big hassle to even obtain one. The room had no plug ins near the bed to charge phones. The rooms were run down and very outdated. After traveling through many parts of Italy and having the best experience with hotel staff this left something to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Also not the place for a couple, it’s more geared toward families with small children. "
