"I chose this hotel because of its location on Lio Beach and good balance between being in quiet place but not too far from El Nido town (20 minutes and 300 pisos by Tuk Tuk). It's very close to the airport, where you will be met by someone from the hotel and then it's a very short ride in their golf buggy type shuttle to the hotel. The rooms are lovely and very spacious. We had one overlooking what should have been the pool area but that was under contstruction. I am still giving it 5 stars but we were only informed about this after we had made the booking. There is a pool at another hotel 5 minutes away but you have to reserve it and it looks quite small. The beach is stunning, with a great view of all the islands. SUP, kayak etc are all free. My only complaint here is that the life guards are the most overcautious and restrictive I have ever encountered. It was rainy season and even then, the sea was not rough and I didn't encounter any currents. However, you are told only to swim in between the hours of 6am and 6pm, very close to the hotel. I am a strong and experienced swimmer, but I don't take risks. I'd like to be able to judge myself and swim at my own risk. Aside from that minor moan, it's a lovely hotel and was very reasonable because of rainy season. "

The breakfast buffet and restaurant food were excellent, with plenty of variety and consistently delicious meals. We also appreciated the convenient shuttle service to town and Lio Beach, which made exploring easy while still being able to return to the quiet comfort of the resort. This was one of the best resort experiences we’ve had in the Philippines. "It was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in my life with the exception of not having an elevator. We had to climb about 6 stories of steps up the side of a mountain but worth every penny. It was the most beautiful view from a hotel I have ever seen. When you get to your room you really find it hard to leave your balcony. My recommendation for the next person is dress for the beach and leave a bag with dry clothes at the front desk so that you only need to do the climb once a day. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was the best I have ever had in the Philippines. I have been traveling to the Philippines for 14 years and normally not very impressed with their food but they are always wonderful people "
