This place was great. Room, bathroom, and balcony was very clean. It was so clean we didn't even see bugs outside. Lol but honestly didn't. The staff were very friendly. Our butler Ray was very helpful when we had any questions. The main complaint is they try to sell you a vacation club and massage which is annoying. We just wanted to enjoy our honeymoon without being harassed to buy something. Get to the chairs near the beach early. They are full by 930am and the pool opens at 9. The property is huge. Bring walking shoes or tips for the cart drivers. I am a foodie and I'd give the food a 6. My husband would give it a 7.5-8. Overall we would return.

Our expectations were high for this storied resort. But ultimately, we were disappointed. The scene on arrival was chaotic. With our Expedia premium status we were told earlier arrival was possible. But our rooms were not available until considerably past the 4 PM check in time. The overly crowded beach made it impossible to find three beach chairs. The food was OK, but not equal to the cost. Our best time was up at Alto de Chevon, a quiet and lovely village recreation. Bottom line… We were so excited and thinking we would prolong our stay there our final day but instead found ourselves anxious to leave. Too bad. Considering it’s famous past we felt it had lost it magic.

Exceptional service, staff were very attentive and helpful in any way possible. Beautiful and tranquil spot. Room was beautifully decorated and view from the balcony was truly amazing especially dining sunrise.
