Nice hotel with great panoramic views of Lago Argentino and the mountains beyond. Friendly and helpful staff, easy parking, and a short walk to town. Room was comfortable and clean, though we did have to open the window to air out the musty smell. Overall, a great place to stay at.

Very nice staff, great breakfast!! Clean and very spacious room. I slept so well on the comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the whole bathroom gets wets during showering because the wall isn’t long enough

This hotel is located at the lake shore, has very good views of the lake and the mountains. It is very clean. The best of it is that the staff are very friendly and nice. I couldn’t find my passport in my room and I had to take my excursion to the Perito Monera Glacier. I told the staff if anyone found my passport and gave it to them. They said no. But they also helped me calling the restaurant that I had my dinner last night but the restaurant didn’t open until noon. They told me if they found it they would let me know immediately. So I took my trip with a heavy heart. At 11am I received a message from the hotel saying that the cleaning lady found my passport and some money in my room while she was cleaning my room. I was very excited and happy to know that my passport was recovered as I was planning to travel to Buenos Aires to visit USA embassy to get a new one. In addition they also asked if I would come back to hotel to retrieve my passport, if not they would send someone to deliver my passport and money along with my luggages that I left with them to a meeting place. That was very kind offer and touched my heart. At the end I came back to the hotel and get my belongings back. I am very grateful for their service and kindness. I would definitely recommend travelers to stay in this hotel.

If you a looking for a quiet time this is the best place to stay… This is a beautiful and quiet property with an amazing view of Lago Argentino , the staff are very friendly and helpful ,keep in mind that is a little far from the center about 30-50 minutes walking.

Great location. Amazing view. Breakfast good. Building not maintained well. Sheets were dirty. Heard this from other people saying the same to reception staff. Heat knobs broken. Feels like a 1980’s hotel with great looks from afar yet dated from up close. No frills experience.

The hotel has a new and an old area. The new is remodeled and the pictures are the one you see when you make the reservation. The old area is dirty, the walls are cracked and stained as well as the cover sheets. There was a dead bug on the curtains. We changed hotels

Great service in a unique location

We stayed at Las Dunas Hotel after trekking in Torres del Paine. The building itself could use a little upkeep, but the friendly staff and attentive service make up for it. While about 7 minutes away by car or 30 minute walk along the waterfront from the town centre, is literally steps away from the shores of Lago Argentino. The majority of the rooms have a view of the lake, the islands in it and the mountains behind it. There’s also a nearby trail where once can discover the flora and fauna. The massage was also a nice post-trek service that they provide, but must be booked the day before.

Great views, value for money

Let's start with saying that this hotel is good value for money and the views over Lago Argentino are great. The location allows you to walk to the town center in 35 to 40 minutes, but a taxi only cost 2000 ARS. The rooms are a nice size. Ours had an extra 1 person bed, but some also have a sitting corner. Unfortunately we didn't get one of the rooms with balcony, although the strong prevailing winds probably would lessen the use. The bathroom was also a good size. Unfortunately there is no shower curtain, only a small piece of glass.The result was water all over the floor. The breakfast buffet is very good. We didn't use the restaurant in the evening. There is a bar, but you have to ask at the reception for staff to come up there. We used the laundry service, which is relatively cheap, but our clothes came back smelling as if they had been left to dry in the kitchen. We made use of the massage service, again very good value for money. Overall, we had some communication issues but we enjoyed our stay and in the end that is what counts

The folks who checked us in were great throughout our stay. The room was fine. Not great but okay. When we checked out I noticed they overcharged for dinner. At dinner I pointed it out that we were charged for beers both at the bar and at the table but only ordered wine at the table. The front desk decided they didn’t want to fix this. It doesn’t make sense to stay here. Other people in our party also had problems with their bill. I don’t know of they are unethical or just tired of communicating with tourists.
