Private grounds, with room to play. The fall colours of the leaves were wonderful, especially sitting in the hottub with the sunset. Beautifully renovated with everything you could need. The hosts answer promptly and ensure you are well taken care of. Very close to nature trails. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We came together as a family to celebrate our Mother’s birthday and it was beautiful and peaceful and just what we all needed. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our family meals and so many beautiful spaces for us to spend time together! Beautiful place to stay!!

A Writing Retreat Haven

Our stay at the Barrel House was unbelievable! Such a gorgeous rural setting in the boreal forest. The historical home is lovely and unique. The interior decorating is tasteful and thoughtful in every way. Absolutely loved our stay and definitely coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and well appointed home. We had our adult children with us and it was very spacious and the property allowed for many areas to all relax and visit together. The very best weekend!

I don’t think I will find another spot to top this girls birthday weekend! The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfy, lots of seating both inside and out and the hot tub was fantastic. It was a quiet and peaceful weekend of playing cards, chilling and food.

Beautiful, relaxing cabin with a wonderful view of the lights

We stayed at the cabin for 2 days and wished we could stay longer! It was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed for a perfect, relaxing end to our week in Alberta. We also had a lovely view of the Northern Lights!! I could even see them from the well positioned beds. I would stay here again in a second, only I'll stay longer next time

Great relaxing retreat on the edge of town!

The property was fantastic. Unique secluded cabin feel with high end upgrades. Beautiful decks, outdoor space and firepits. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, pans and anything else you could imagine including barware right down to a moscow mule set.

Dreamy Retreat

This is my DREAM HOUSE nestled in a wooded area just a quick half hour from downtown Edmonton. We were close enough to get everything we needed but still enjoy the peace and seclusion of a ‘vacation hideaway.’ The house was beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the host was friendly and accommodating for all our special requests/needs. Super comfortable beds, luxurious bathroom/shower, hot tub, fire pit, just an overall dreamy stay. Would 10/10 recommend this house and this host to anyone looking to stay in the area. Wish I could live there year-round!

The rustic cabin east of Sherwood Park was an awesome place to spend my birthday weekend. The check in process was easy and fast. The host was very responsive both before and during our stay. The property was exactly as advertised. We happened to pick a very cold time to come so the house was a bit chilly. Space heaters were provided to help out with that. We enjoyed the hot tub even though the quick trip between the tub and the house was brrrrrrr.
